hunting_pure_ Beetroot Chocolate Cake . Most of you know I think refined sugar is the root to all evil but at the same time I'm a girl and crave chocolate on the regular. I've been playing around with healthy treats lately and this is one turned out pretty great. Also there are tons of health benefits of the beets (folate, Vitamin C, B Vitamins, etc) the raw cacao powder (antioxidants galore, sing it!), and almond flour (proTEIN!). The texture is soft and dense. I made the icing out of yogurt and chocolate chips! 1-1/2 cups almond meal (I use Bob’s Red Mill)
½ cup brown rice flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
1-1/2 teaspoons sea salt
1-1/2 cups coconut sugar
2/3 cup cacao powder
¼ cup dark chocolate chips, optional
2 medium sized red beets
3 eggs
½ cup almond milk
1/3 cup grapeseed oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

It will not be my last - these are so easy and SO GOOD! Just mix the fruit in a blender and pour into a tray lined with baking paper. Best part - no dehydrator required, you just pop these babies into a low oven until dry! ••• 7min

I was one of those New Years Resolutioners... And happy 1 year anniversary to @beachbikinimomma! Woohoo! Couldn't have done it without all your support! I really appreciate it.

When I started my IG account I had already been 6 weeks into my journey, and had ready lost about 12 lbs. I wanted more! It no longer was a scale weight loss but an overall lifestyle change.
When I first started I was following portion control and calorie counting. Then when I started running and needed better nutrients... My solution was eating healthier gluten free foods. At about 12 weeks in I realized how my body was metabolizing my foods and I started eating clean simple foods. And ever since then, I eat when ever and whatever clean simple foods. My skin, hair and overall appearance is healthier. And it's a stress free lifestyle.

I will forewarn you that the first 2-3 months is a MIND F*CK... But you realize how rewarding it is and you will continue your journey. I promise you will not regret your lifestyle change.
