Sooo remember when I asked for 30 women to share their stories? This is what it's for. Here's a little background:

I wanted the title to have an acronym and I wanted it to stand for something powerful. The word lost was a great word because I felt like we are lost. We are losing ourselves inside of the issues that we deal with. We aren't sharing our truths as openly as we should be. So I want women to be able to own up to the fact that "Hey I don't have it all, I don't know it all, but this is my truth." Then by sharing their truth with others they will then realize that as sisters, as women we are sharing your truth with you. For example, when a woman is dealing with her truth she needs to understand that it's my truth too. I may not be going through the same thing but because you are a woman you are my sister. I have to share you truth in order to empower you. Hope that makes sense lol.

I am still waiting for more women. If you are interested please send an email to info@womenselevationmagazine.com. If you have submitted an email. I have you on the list and you will receive an email.

intoawritersmind The Enchanters Institution
Prologue: . A thick fog of smoke was all that I could see until a bright glint of orange made my path visible. The fire screamed and I had to hold back a screaming sob of my own as I watched my house go up in flames.
The house had a florescent orange border that made it appear as if it were glowing. It's shadows danced on the ash covered ground as it's insides whilst from the attack by angry flames. My throat tightened from the heavy smoke in the air and my attempt of holding back my rage.
The scent of melted paint and scorched wood filled the air. It is bitter to my nostrils and I close my eyes, allowing tears to fall down to my hot cheeks as my memories flashed behind my lids. I could see my old bedroom. The walls colored the same pastel yellow they had since my adoptive parent's brought me home from the hospital. My walls were decorated with pictures of family members and friends. I was raised in this house and now it burns because of me.
My parents died because of me. They took me in when my birth mother died while giving birth to me and my twin sister, who also died during birth. My birth father was no where to be found which left me an orphan. Julia and Dan were my life saviors and I loved them so much for saving me. And this is how I repaid them.
Anger grabbed at my heart. I picked up a brick that laid on the ground and threw it towards the burning house. The sound echoed across the surrounding buildings. I screamed in anger and allowed my tears to flow down my cheeks like a water fall.

  •   intoawritersmind More memories began to flicker inside my mind. Images of my old dog Crackers. My dad buying me my first bike and teaching me how to ride it through the neighborhood. My mom teaching me how to bake brownies in the kitchen. I could never replace those memories. I could never make new memories with my parents. "Ma'am." A deep voice shouted through my screams and the crackling of fire.
I turned to see the face of a police officer. His brows were pinched together and his dark brown eyes peeked towards me from under his hat. He held his hand out and motioned for me to walk to him. "Please calm down Ma'am. Let me help you." He said in a soft voice.
My muscles started to shake as the rage rippled through out my body. How could I have let this happen? This is all my fault. My parents were trying to protect me and then I let the house explode and with them in it. "Ma'am? Are you alright?" The officer asked as his dark eyes studied me. "I walked right through." I stated, keeping my eyes on the burning house. "The fire didn't burn me. I tried to save them but--" "What are you saying? Did you get hurt?" His voice rose with anticipation. 24min
  •   intoawritersmind "Did you not hear me? The fire did not harm me. Look!" I shouted and flicked my arms out. I rotated my arms, revealing pale, unharmed skin. I ran my fingers through my long chocolate colored hair and noticed it was not scorched. "I don't understand?" "Ma'am let's get you to an ambulance. Come on, I'll help you get there." He reached out and touched my arm.
I jerked away quickly. I knew he thought I was crazy. I didn't blame him for looking at me the way he did. I might be loosing it but I couldn't stop myself. I didn't want to go with him. I didn't care if I was hurt. All I wanted to do was watch the fire burn away the memories of the only two people who ever loved me.
After a long pause, the officer leaped towards me and wrapped his arms around me. I kicked my feet and tried to wiggle my way out of his tight grasp. I noticed two other officers behind him, making their way slowly towards us. "I think she's going into shock. We need to get her to an ambulance." The officer yelled next to my ear.
The other two officers placed their arms around my legs. I couldn't move. I couldn't escape. Why wouldn't they just leave me alone to grieve?
I screamed out as I grew agitated and felt my nerves tingle like they had before the fire exploded inside my house. Before I could stop it, an invisible force pushed out from my body, knocking all three officers, a police car, and a tree towards the ground. Glass splattered through the air and landed against the ground. 23min
  •   intoawritersmind My breath was knocked out of my lungs as I fell against the hard ground. Clouds of ashes flew around me and fell towards the earth like snow. I placed a shaking hand against my quivering lips as I realized what I had just done.
I didn't want to kill any more people. They were just trying to help me. I pushed myself away from the ground and jogged over to the three officers. I saw movement and grunting noises coming from them and felt relieved. "What the hell?" The light blonde officer shrieked and jumped up quickly. "I'm sorry. I don't understand what is happening?" I cried. "How--" The dark eyes officer began to say but stopped. "That is enough boys." A catty voice purred from behind me. "Leave this poor girl alone and go take care of other things. This was just caused by the dropping of a lit candle." I watched as the three officers nodded their head and walk away as if nothing had happened. I turned to see the mystery woman and felt myself gasp. She was stunning. The most gorgeous woman I had ever seen. She reminded me of a Victoria secret model. 23min
  •   intoawritersmind She was wearing a short black dress that hugged against her body tight and black stilettos. She wasn't very curvy and had a pair of long silky legs. Her hair touched her shoulders and was bleach blonde. I could tell a hint of age in her face as she walked towards me. I would had guessed she was in her mid forties.
Her long skinny fingers held a cigarette and she reached out towards me. "Light me up sugar." I blinked my eyes, not understanding what she was requesting. The woman rolled her eyes and grinned, revealing her straight dazzling smile. She moved the cigarette towards her red lips. "I saw that you did all of this." She said, motioning towards the burning house. "I figured you could at least light my cigarette." She winked and suddenly a flicker of fire was at the end of her cigarette. I sucked in a quick breath of air as I felt my body go ridged. The woman took a step towards me and placed her hand on my shoulder. "You look just like your mother." She whispered. "I have been looking for you for eighteen years Adariyah. It's time you come home. To your real home." 23min
