fallonh23 We ran through the woods just like we did when we were young.
We were far away from any trail or parking lot, the further we went the more we slowly started reverting back to the known territory of a childlike state of mind. Running with no destination. Walking with no agenda or objective; other than the hope to forage some wild foods.
Our legs scratched up from twigs and thorns, our arms and backs covered in bug bites, effortlessly crossing creeks by way of downed redwood trees wide enough in girth to fit two people side by side.
We lay like dogs on the forest floor, listening to all the sounds; streams rustling over rocks, insects buzzing, wind aggressively moving the tops of the trees that were a hundred feet above us, all these sounds put us to sleep right there on the woodland floor like babies in a cradle.
In our retreat back to childlike wonder we found it to be almost instinctual, a sort of second nature, forcing us ask ourselves, where do we lose our childlike days in our rush to grow up? Where has our adolescent innocent thoughts gone? Where has the fearless wonder been hiding? In our search we find nothing more than bliss. Pure bliss. #stayhuman

dimejawn By @sarahsophief "I'm Looking At You Donald Trump.

I can't stop thinking about "The Trump Effect" and it's impact on kids throughout this election. This is via The Alternet: “My students are terrified of Donald Trump,” reports a teacher from a middle school with a large African-American Muslim population. “They think that if he’s elected, all black people will get sent back to Africa.” Another educator from a Tennessee school says a Latino kindergartener was told by his peers that he will be deported and barricaded behind a wall. “Is the wall here yet?” he asks daily.

One teacher reports that a fifth-grader told a Muslim student “he was supporting Donald Trump because he was going to kill all of the Muslims if he became president.” These are the nightmare scenarios of kids, as outlined in a new Southern Poverty Law Center report on the “Trump effect” in U.S. schools, as described by 2,000 K-12 teachers across the country.

It is no surprise that some young people are feeling the impact of an election cycle marred by racist incitement, as Trump vows to ban non-American Muslims, kill the family members of ISIL, “force” Mexico to build a wall and deport millionsof immigrants. He has called Mexicans rapists and repeatedly incited violence against protesters at his rallies." #lovetrumpshate #votingmatters #upstandersnotbystanders #stayhuman" via @PhotoRepost_app

  •   allabout_mrs.grey He disgusts me but what disgusts me more is having Americans who agree with him and especially having women who agree with him. He has proven to be toxic for minorities and women and yet winning every primary on the republican side. It just shows the bigger issue in our society that racism is alive . Sexism is alive. And our patriarchal society continues to tread on by his attacks on Hillary for being a woman . It's not only him it's Bernie too while he is far left they have both said that Hillary is unqualified yet is the most qualified behind a podium and I believe they say this because she's a WOMAN. People need to start say that their behavior, that Trump (or should I say Drumpf's) behavior is unacceptable! 🏾🏾️ just discussing it gets me heated LoL 2d
