dmarieolsen The significant other and I explored some more of the #indianastatefair yesterday, just before #circlecitysesh20. This was taken in the historic Hook's Drug Store. John A. Hook was the son of German immigrants. He opened his first drug store in the Fountain Square area in 1900. By 1950, there were approximately 50 Hook's Drug Stores in Indiana. To celebrate the chain's Golden Jubilee, a new store was opened at 38th and Meridian streets. In 1966, the Hook’s Historical Drug Store and Pharmacy Museum opened at the state fair, in a building originally constructed in the 1920s. Though the museum exhibit was originally intended to be a temporary exhibit, it has remained in place for the last 48 years. 4d
