  •   elliemeo Sybil had asthma which went away as she grew up. We used the aerocat inhaler with a steroid & prednisilone pills when it was at its worst. 3d
  •   thewedgeis @elliemeo that's so interesting that it went away. We aren't sure how old Wedge is. The shelter/vet said anywhere from 3-8 when we got him which means now he would be either 6 or 11. The shelter told us he had a cold when we got him but an overnight ER visit a week later told us it was pretty severe asthma. We have seen specialists and stuff. He's on 2 inhalers (with the aerokat) 2 times a day and prednisolone and an allergy pill once a day. It definitely sucks cause we are sort of always giving him meds, but he's pretty good with it. So we are lucky in that way (and in that he's he best cat ever haha). 3d
  •   elliemeo Sybil was adopted from a rescue group I used to volunteer with. She was 6 months old- by the time she was 2-2.5 her asthma had all but vanished. She still sounds a bit congested if you hold her cradled like a baby but there's no more asthma thank god. It was sort of like childhood asthma that she grew out of. She also had a problem with her elbows dislocating and that went away too as she grew. Unfortunately she has a pee problem which is part ic & part behavioral which will never go away. Otherwise she's healthier than everyone . I hope wedge 's asthma goes away too. We recently found our sub is part Norwegian forest cat called a wedgie & part mainecoone. 3d

  •   thewedgeis Haha cats are so picky like that. It's so funny. Meds are hard but once you're in a routine they get much easier 3d
