lowcarblizzy So this morning I dumped a packet of this stuff on my BPC. No go! To me this stuff taste like Equal and Sweet n low! I forced myself to drink my coffee. Now I know many people hate Splenda but I love it. In HUGE unhumanly amounts, yeah it's bad!! Of course! so are a lot of things. And I've used splenda for over 10 years. My kidneys and liver are fine. I haven't grown a third arm or eye so I think I'll stick to Splenda. Unless if this stuff taste different in baked goods, then I'll change. Diabetics have been using Splenda for years. Wonder if they have problems with it? #lchf #lowcarb 4h
  •   amandalionheart Splenda all day girl!!! 4h
  •   eleyhomie Ever tried liquid stevia? 4h
  •   lowcarblizzy @eleyhomie no I haven't...is it better? When you tried stevia, did you get that saccharine taste and get used to it? I heard some people taste what I taste and some don't. 3h
  •   lowcarblizzy Or maybe I used too much? @eleyhomie how much do you use in a cup? 3h
  •   foullio @lowcarblizzy I've tried 2 different kinds of liquid. I totally preferred the second one. I'll take a picture of it and post it when I get hm. I don't get that bitter taste at all. But again you could ask other ppl on here & Google. I did some looking up on the internet. There r sites that explain what types will not have the bitter taste. It's something about the ratios of what's in it. I'm sorry I can't remember😕. But it wasn't hard to find. 3h
  •   haming80 Lol at third arm or eye 3h
  •   lowcarblizzy @foullio thank you! I really wish I liked it. Maybe I'll have to try the liquid out. I taste a saccharine taste so you can imagine the gag 57min

missionplastic We spend our whole lives looking for short cuts and ways to beat the systems of everyday living. Recently I took to test the theory of artificial sweeteners. In doing my research it became evident that artificial sweeteners may cause more harm than help to aid in weight loss and healthy digestion.

The body cannot recognize artificial sweeteners as food. This then leads to the sweeteners passing through the trillions of bacteria in the intestine and stomach that aid in digestion, thus altering and damaging the bacteria.
In an experiment that began with mice then later tried with human, scientists distributed water laced with artificial sweeteners to some mice and the other mice received pain water or water laced with sugar. In both instances the subject that digested the artificial sweeteners developed glucose intolerance. Glucose intolerance is a metabolic condition that results in higher than normal blood glucose levels or hyperglycemia.
Like most trending topics everything must come in moderation. I do not recommend fully eliminating artificial sweeteners from your diet if this is what you prefer, however the findings do show that over consumption can do the body much harm. Recent health fads have leaned towards much healthier choices of natural sweeteners to help get your sweet tooth quenched. One of the most recent fads is a natural sweetener called Stevia.

Stevia is an all natural sweetener that has virtually no calories. It is derived from a plant called Stevia rebaudiana and has been grown for both sweetness and medicinal purposes mainly in South America. Stevia has been proven to lower blood pressure when it is high but has show little to no effect on blood sugar that is normal or slightly elevated. This also has a positive impact on blood sugar levels in diabetics.
