Execution:
1. Stand with your feet slightly apart, your torso straight and held firmly in place.
2. Hold the dumbbells in a neutral grip on either side of your body.
3. Raise your shoulders as much as possible and try to pause for a moment at the highest point.
4. Your arms do no more than hold the weights, although the resistance in constant.
5. Breathe in just before raising your shoulders and out as you lower them.
This is a very good heavy exercise, strictly for the trapezius and adjacent muscles. It is also very simple and suitable for all levels. Beginners will notice rapid progress in the amount of weight they can lift.
Tips:

> Do not use too much or too little weight.
