  •   linnea.grace I've been wanting to find these the past couple years with no luck. Any tips? I'm in michigan and I figure I'll most likely only have luck with the hemlock reishi 2d
  •   blue_ridge_angler I have only found them on hemlock. That's what these are. @linnea.grace 2d
  •   blue_ridge_angler The only tip I have for them is that they seem to like very freshly broken trees, and branches, and don't seem to grow on wood that has much decomposition. 2d
  •   miki_desu420 @blue_ridge_angler I been collecting this very same mushrooms from a giant mango tree... It has this hole on its side and that is where it grows... I think it's a wild reishi but I'm not really sure. What I'm sure of though is that, from this pic, they're the very very 195% same. Hehe. 1d
  •   miki_desu420 Exact same colors. Stem. Caps. Anyway I prepped some tea from fresh ones and they're very bitter. 1d

sakonnetmushrooms Shimeji experiment update: on the left the one in the bag were getting really uneven growth. The caps are flattening out and on some of the caps it almost looks like they have pins on them? On the Right the one exposed to more FAE is growing much slower but in a tighter more even cluster. #mushrooms #fsrw #fungi #fungiaffair #mushroomsociety #mushroomspotting #mushroomspotter #fungifreaks #fungusamongus #nature #fantasticfungi #shroomatnoon #myceliumrunning #mycophile #mycoporn #shroomstagram #igdaily #shroomporn 1w
  •   ryejar What species is it? 1w
  •   lizzybaine What are the pins?! Do you know? I found strange mushrooms in the woods last year that had those and I still haven't identified them! I'm so curious! 1w
  •   sakonnetmushrooms @ryejar it's Buna-Shimeji...Brown Beech Mushrooms 1w
  •   sakonnetmushrooms @lizzybaine no idea what's up with the pins...I'm thinking its just a mutation due to the high co2 1w
  •   bigskyfoodandfungi Ha yeah, it's good you did that...now we know, don't restrict gas exchange to much or you mutate ur mushys. Thanks for keeping us updated, I'm just getting my rooms designed and built here in MT and your feed has been invaluable! 1w
  •   sakonnetmushrooms @bigskyfoodandfungi haha awesome...I'm always happy teaching people what not to do. Really though, guess I'm going to have to read more on this Tek before trying again...I'm going to get it though! 1w
