Thank you Stash Bash for helping not a girl get her groove back. #scrappytripalong #thestashbash2016 #carkaifabric #carolynfriedlander 5d

spetzie I made a total of 14 #scrappytripalong blocks, and realize I need to get more violet and mint colored prints, otherwise I'll have some repeats. Not sure if that matters, but I kind of like the idea of variety. Such a fun block to make, I'm sure a scrappy version is in my future. .

knettycraft Happy mailday today! I received fourscrappytrip blocks today. @terakeeler Thank you so much Tera!
@mslynn83 Thank you Heather for your lovely blocks. I like Tula Pink... but the best are those little seagulls! I'm so sorry for the expensive postage - Tera sent each block in an extra envelope and it was only $2.13 each. Than you.

karamatsews #thestashbashhangover was real today... wanted to sew after work but could only sit on the sofa and rip out seams while watching the hockey playoffs. #scrappytripalong 6d
  •   modquiltmom_anna I totally recognized that as a trip around the world! It will look so good with all those Jen kingwell fabrics 6d

amrosenthal Jacob put this on my bed this morning, on top of my all white duvet. Walking in my room was like being surprised with a sunny day! Much needed since we have crappy freezing weather this week. Still one of my favorite quilts ever. #scrappytripalong circa 2011? #quiltsofinstagram #quilt #scrappy #patchwork 7d

dishsisters_janeray @mtweedel invited me to make a block for the #colourblockchallenge by @gnomeangel so I decided to make a #scrappytripalong block from vintage fabric. My skills are not up to snuff. I think I'd be better off trying something wonky inspired by Gwen Marston! #vintagefabric 1w

crookedseams I had anywhere from 6"-15" of leftover for each strip from my #scrappytripalong fabrics. I used my easy Dresden ruler to cut lots of teeny tiny wedges. I'm still contemplating next steps.

  •   quiltdesignatelier Dresden! 1w
  •   crookedseams @quiltdesignatelier if I hadn't been working with these fabrics for two months already, I would seriously consider it. I've started piecing them together in opposite directions. I'm not quite sure where to take the wedges after that. But there's definitely another Dresden plate in my future. Maybe this summer? 1w
  •   quiltdesignatelier It does sound like a good summer project 1w

cmjlovestoquilt Working on a B&C Scrappy Trip quilt. Waiting for Little Ruby to finish it... #quiltville #scrappytrip #scrappytripalong #bonnieandcamille #scrappytriparoundtheworld 1w
  •   cmjlovestoquilt @whitneyoaksdesigns yes, definitely. You need 6 sixteen inch by 2.5 inch strips to make 1 block. 4 blocks to make 1 large. Each strip should be a contrasting color, but if you want some consistency in the blocks (like the red strip that runs through mine), you'll want to repeat the color order in all of the blocks or in at least one spot in all the blocks. I did a mix of scrappy with some consistent. Confusing, but it will be clear once you start and I'm here to help. 1w
  •   elaine.summercrafter Love it. I have been collecting strips for mine. I may bail on previous plans and copy you! 5d
  •   cmjlovestoquilt @elaine.summercrafter it's really fun to make....easy, but the best part is that it's so busy with pattern and color that it can be dragged around the house without worry. So many of my quilts have white fabric throughout so I'm always concerned about stains etc.. I made one a few years ago and it's a favorite for these reasons. 4d
  •   elaine.summercrafter And those are very practical and realistic reasons! 4d
