angelesmannies Cruising through Larchmont Village yesterday and found this amazing book, ‘Things I’ve said to my Children’

Nathan takes the normal everyday things that he's said to his children (we do not poop in books, honey please don’t lick the toaster etc etc) and added awesome illustrations to each statement, check it out!

theceige I'm making slow progress on this beautiful piece of brilliance but it only on chapter 3 I can tell you that it has been a while since I've read something with such effortless intensity in the way even slightest detail gets described. The characters are vivid and eccentric to the point of familiarity and the tension is compelling. Thank you Tom Hiddleston for introducing me to this amazing author

orchardmama I seriously cannot recommend this book enough. You've probably heard me blab about it if you've talked to me lately. It's just so good at stripping things down to the bare bones and simplifying what we have made so complicated. Heavy on the message of love and the person of Jesus. #readoftheweek #interrupted 3d

fitbeatz |#ReadOfTheWeek | “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” These words opened my eyes to the fact that the people we hang out with, the people we call friends, they all have an influence on the decisions we make in life, and therefore the success we have (or don’t have).

Unfortunately, not everyone pushes us to be better. Some people stop us from following our dreams or talk us out of taking a risk, and we don’t always realize that it’s happening. So it’s important to be aware and consciously choose who we spend time with, to limit spending time with toxic people. oba_oreoluwa Read of the week: They Came Before Columbus by Dr. Ivan Van Sertma

I have yet to finish the historic work but what made me pick it back up in my home library is to overstand Chapter 7 getting into Black Africa and Egypt

aaronjmcknight #readoftheweek - #watt by #samuelbeckett “It was a Tuesday afternoon, in the month of October, a beautiful October afternoon. I was sitting on the step, in the yard, looking at the light, on the wall. I was in the sun, and the wall was in the sun. I was the sun, need I add, and the wall, and the step, and the yard, and the time of year, and the time of day, to mention only these.” 5d

fitbeatz | #ReadOfTheWeek | Want to know one habit ultra-successful people have in common? They read. A lot.

In fact, when Warren Buffett was once asked about the key to success, he pointed to a stack of nearby books and said, “Read 500 pages like this every day. That’s how knowledge works. It builds up, like compound interest. All of you can do it, but I guarantee not many of you will do it.”

Buffett takes this habit to the extreme — he read between 600 and 1000 pages per daywhen he was beginning his investing career, and still devotes about 80% of each day to reading.

And he’s not alone. Top business leaders and entrepreneurs across the board make reading a major part of their daily lifestyle. Learn more about the reading lists of the world's brightest minds in this new article 'The Reading Habits of Ultra Successful people' now on FitBeatz.com. #FitBeatz #KnowledgeIsPower

sammyfrankie I'm into this variant the most out of the Shattered Empire comic books- I just loved the films so much. Not sure I can justify the higher price though...that just breaks my heart and pockets. <\3
