Let's put those strawberries back and get some oranges and bananas instead." ️In 2013 I told my then 3 year old that as tears rolled down his eyes and mine. We were on wic and were using food bank lines to get by at the time. Tell me how you explain to a 3 year old we can get more food if we put strawberries back? ️That's why this table I bought yesterday is more than a table. ️Yesterday we bought this table with cash! No cards, no asking family for help. My hubby and I did it on our own! ️I went from nothing to my name pretty much-and struggling to feed our kids-to paying for items we need in cash? Sounds insane right? ️We've been eating on the couch because our chairs are all broken and I refused to use a card. I refuse to go back to struggling. ️The day my life changed is the day I decided to help myself and others and become and online health and wellness coach. It's been 2.5 years and I've hit the 6 figure income growth mark and seriously you guys I still can't believe this is my story. ️I share it daily because I want to empower other women they can too!!! 🏋🏼 ️Tell that broken mom crying in the store that she would some day be a 6 figure income earner and I would have laughed at you. ️Coaching has changed my life! Not only that but I mentor coaches to build business of their own~they are paying off their debt too~all by helping others like I do daily! whitneythill {{LONG POST ALERT}} So it's easy for me to encourage my sister and others to share their struggles and before & afters but it's hard for me to do so too.
See last summer I was in the best shape I have ever probably been in. I worked hard for two years. I over came A LOT of health issues. Migraines, hypoglycemia, and poor nutrition. We prayed for a long time for our little girl and we were beyond blessed with her and she is amazing and worth all the changes my body took on.
I didn't need nor want to lose weight BUT I would be lying if I said that pregnancy didn't take a toll on my body. I worked out majority of my pregnancy and I felt I carried it well. I read all about muscle memory and saw stories of these women bouncing back pretty quickly and I held on to that hope. My body had other plans. I had a rough c section and my recovery was much harder than I anticipated it would be. I had to take pain medication for much longer than I cared to. I was swollen and aside from walking around the house I didn't feel up to do much as far workouts go until 3 mo PP. Even then it was a rough start.
I did a very loose round of the Fix, more so to get my nutrition back on track but I felt bored for lack of better words. I needed something new. Something that would challenge me. I used to be an athlete, I used to love to lift weights, I really felt I needed a change.
3 kids, 3 c-sections, and pushing 30 (you can forget that part) ha! I decided to commit to a new 8 week program that was centered around strength training. I chose the lean plan for my first round as I wanted to conquer the fluff first and I will do a build round next.
I have two weeks (I had to start over week 6) left but I'm feeling stronger, leaner, and more confident! So as much as I want to throw up right now sharing this "goodbye" picture I am really stoked with my results so far and hope me being vulnerable will encourage you that we are all on our own journey and while we usually only share the hi lights we all have our own struggles but with hard work and a little bit of bravery we have the power to make the changes we desire in our lives!!
