Normal Skye Smith
skyelorelle At times I miss being 3 bridges away from decent coffee, lunch choices and a stroll home. Then I look outside... #officeview #parramattariver #workaintsobad #itsajob 2d

joeymoujalli Had a sweet, sweet session on the water today. Battled the heavy afternoon winds, fast moving currents and some rain but it was all about strategy! In a heavy rocky bottom area, I was getting snagged every second cast so I turned to the Zmans and it got turned on! The 2.5" grubZ the 3.75" streakZ were irresistible to the bream and flathead in the shallows on the runout. The buoyancy reduced the snags to zero and slowed down the sinking rate of the jig head in the fast moving currents plus the plastic standing up got the fishies attention. Had a bust off, I'd like to say it was a big bream haha. All 3 bream went just under 30cms and the flathead was 41 and 53. Yiew!!!! all released to swim another day... plus can't really eat Parramatta river fish or you'll glow in the dark :p 3d
  •   lisaliz589 What type of fish are those? The top sort of look like the porgies around here. They're edible but bony 3d
  •   joeymoujalli @lisaliz589 The silver fish is Called a 'yellow fin Bream' and the Brown long flat fish is called a 'dusky flathead'. Both have various species. For example, the yellow fin bream has a cousin which is commonly found in the southern states of Australia which is named 'Black Bream', it is darker in colour and the anal spike is a lot smaller. Flathead come in different colours but are actually a master of disguise, they sit in the sand or rock blended in nicely and wait for their prey to swim within striking distance. 3d
  •   lisaliz589 @joeymoujalli oh! Very interesting!! Are you big into fishing? We have fish that hide but for different reasons... We most commonly have fluke and flounder. They're flat and their eyes are both on the same side of their body body. This helps them to hide on the ocean floor. There's also sea bass, striped bass, bluefish, blackfish, tuna, etc around here. Lots go shark fishing too ( jaws was inspired by my town lol) 3d
  •   joeymoujalli @lisaliz589 we get flounder here too, I fish when I can and I love it 3d
