run_jasmine_run Over the weekend Mark and I made some dishes for his work's 'pick in' (since this week is Thanksgiving week). And, in 'good old Jasmine fashion', of course I had to bake and bake something on the "clean eats" side. So, I busted out one of my trusty and tasty recipes for cleaner cookies.
Some of you might have seen the chocolate chip version of the recipe earlier this year but, this time I added some pumpkins seeds and craisins!

So, if you looking for an easy and healthy recipe to make for this Thanksgiving, Friends-Giving, or a work 'pitch in'...this recipe is perfect for all of the above!!! HEALTHY COOKIES (THANKSGIVING ADDITION): INGREDIENTS: -3 mashed ripe bananas
-1/3 cup of apple sauce (I used the organic unsweetened kind)
-2 cups of steel cut oats
-1/4 cup of almond milk
-1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips
-1 teaspoon of vanilla extract -1 teaspoon of apple cinnamon spice or just cinnamon

Throw all the ingredients in a bowl, mix with your (clean washed) hands,
scoop out balls with a table spoon, and roll it like a meatball, then flatten it out just some and place on cookie sheet.

Preheat oven for 350 degrees and bake for 10-15 minutes!

a_davis34 The struggle was real today

I felt like I was fighting the squat for minutes haha. @competitorstraining called for a 2RM Fromt squat so I shot for a 10lb PR at 415lbs. But everyday can't be a PR day. Tough day of training but just have to erase 1 bad day and get back to the grind Friday. Plus, I got a pretty sweet calf pump on the second squat. If you need me I ll probably be in the same position of the last seconds of this video

So, yesterday I posted my #MealPrepMonday picture and afterward received some requests for the recipe for the turkey chili made in the crock pot.

Now, most of the recipes I do picture posts about can be found on my "Clean Eats" boards on Pinterest (you can find me on there as @run_jasmine_run) but, for those who don't have a Pinterest profile (even though I HIGHLY encourage others to create one...especially if you enjoy cooking)
here is the recipe: "Slow Cooker Turkey Chili:

Yield: Serves 8-10Prep Time:
10 minutes. Cokk Time: 4-6 hours.

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 lb 99% lean ground turkey
1 medium onion, diced
1 red pepper, chopped
1 yellow pepper, chopped
2 (15 oz) cans tomato sauce
2 (15 oz) cans petite diced tomatoes
2 (15 oz) cans black beans, rinsed and drained
2 (15oz) cans red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 (16 oz) jar deli-sliced tamed jalapeno peppers, drained
1 cup frozen corn
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin
Salt and black pepper, to taste

Optional toppings: green onions, shredded cheese, avocado, sour cream/Greek yogurt

1. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place turkey in the skillet, and cook until brown. Pour turkey into slow cooker.

2. Add the onion, peppers, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beans, jalapeños, corn, chili powder, and cumin. Stir and season with salt and pepper.

3. Cover and cook on High for 4 hours or low for 6 hours. Serve with toppings, if desired.

Note-we use a 6 quart slow cooker.
