Zebras are members of the horse family. They live in Eastern and Southern Africa on grasslands and semi-deserts. The zebra is about 50–52 inches (1.3 m) at the shoulder with a body ranging from 6–8.5 feet (2–2.6 m) long with an 18-inch (0.5 m) tail. It can weigh up to 770 pounds (350 kg), males being slightly bigger than females. They have excellent hearing and eyesight and can run at speeds of up to 35 miles per hour.

When zebras are grouped together, their stripes make it hard for a lion or leopard to pick out one zebra to chase. Different zebra species have different types of stripes, from narrow to wide. The zebra's background color is black with white stripes. The stripes are typically vertical on the head, neck, forequarters, and main body, with horizontal stripes at the rear and on the legs.

Rose is the common name for some members of the Rosaceae, a large family of herbs, shrubs, and trees distributed over most of the earth, and for plants of the genus Rosa, the true roses. A rose is a woody perennial. There are over 100 species and thousands of cultivators. Roses can be erect shrubs, climbing or trailing and have stems with thorns. Most species are native to Asia, but roses are grown all over the world as indoor and/or outdoor plants. The rose is one of the best known and most favorite plants in the world. The colors of roses consist of red, white, pink, yellow, orange, salmon, lavender, peach, cream, green.

Some Interesting Facts about Roses:
The birthplace of the cultivated Rose was probably Northern Persia, on the Caspian, or Faristan, on the Gulf of Persia.
Historically, the oldest Rose fossils have been found in Colorado, dating back to more than 35 million years ago.
Roses were considered the most sacred flowers in ancient Egypt and were used as offerings for the Goddess Isis. Roses have also been found in Egyptian tombs, where they were formed into funeral wreaths.
Ancient Sumerians of Mesopotamia (in the Tigris-Euphrates River Valley) mentioned Roses in a cuneiform tablet (a system of writing) written in approximately 2860 BC.

The Eurasian reed warbler, or just reed warbler, is a medium sized warbler 12.5–14 cm in length. The adult has an unstreaked brown back and buff underparts. The forehead is flattened and the bill is strong and pointed. The sexes are identical. It eats insects but will take other small food items, including berries. It is a songbird that breeds across Europe into temperate western Asia. The reed warbler is migratory, wintering in sub-Saharan Africa.
