clawsbytiff Go hard or go home on #throwbackthursday This was about 2 years ago!
This picture shows that everyone starts somewhere and you should always clean up your cuticles! Just looking at this picture makes me want to take some acetone on a brush and clean it up

clawsbytiff I'm currently in a design slump so I thought I'd share my regularly used brushes and tools
I should start off by saying that I use acrylic paints with these brushes (and the occasional polish if needed) and I clean then with pure acetone. I've had no problems with any of these brushes fall apart or shed so far.
Also because I know this post will be long, all the information will be listed in the first comment below

  •   clawsbytiff 1. 4 Zen Royal & Langnickel Z73CB (Purchased from Michaels) After countless elf concealer brushes falling apart because of acetone, I decided to invest (I use that term loosely) in this flat brush. I love how the tip of the brush is soft enough so I can do one sweep along the cuticle but the base is stiff so I don't make a crazy mistake.
    2. 20/0 Zen Royal & Langnickel Z73L (Purchased from Michaels) I used this brush to paint and fill in larger areas with paint, however if you form the bristles correctly you can get precise lines (I used this brush in my floral posts a few weeks back). 3. 18/0 Artist's Loft Vienna (Round) (Purchased from Michaels) This brush is a recent purchase but it easily become a favorite. I used it for my Supernatural nails and I love how fine and precise it is and how it can also fill in smaller shapes really well without taking too long.
    4. Gold Finger Nail Design Brush (purchased from a local beauty store for like $1) It used to be really thick and sorta fluffy but I gave it a major haircut to a point where I can count the amount of bristles left I use this normally for extremely tiny lines/details or for outlining things. Every nail artist needs a brush like this!
    5. Set of 3 Brushes from Amazon This was from a set of 3 brushes from Amazon and this is my most used brush. This is the largest/longest brush of the set cut down to be REALLY thin. This brush can seriously do everything and anything I want. I used it for outlining in my SPN nails, I used it to paint and fill in Link in my V-day nails, and it in used in many, many more designs of mine! If I had to take any brush or tool with me anywhere, I'd take this one
    6. Toothpick (can be purchased anywhere... Seriously, anywhere!) This is such a versatile tool! I use this to paint my tiny polka dots and scrape off mistakes made with paint. Every nail artist should have these! And hopefully they're in one place because I have lots scattered across my room 2d
