Today Albertans voted for change.
I'm grateful for the privilege to exercise my constitutional right to cast a ballot in the election.

eatmorelivelong Here is the recipe for this tasty meal! So run to the grocery store and race back to your house and get cooking! Directions:
First, cut the steak against the grain into pieces ¼ inch thick. In a Tupperware or Ziploc bag, pour the cornstarch in and then add the pieces of meat. Toss the meat with the cornstarch until all the pieces are neatly covered. Next, pour the meat and cornstarch mixture into a sieve and shake off any excess cornstarch. Let the steak sit in the sieve while preparing the sauce.

In a small pot heat about 2 teaspoons of oil over medium heat, add the ginger and garlic and sauté until golden. Once the aroma of garlic and ginger begins to rise add the soy sauce and water to the pot and stir to combine. Next, stir in the brown sugar and bring the sauce to a boil for at least 3 minutes and then remove the sauce from heat and set aside.
Place a large sauté pan over medium high heat and add enough vegetable oil to cover the bottom of the pan. Once the oil is hot add half of the cornstarch covered meat into the pan and cook the meat in the oil for about 2 minutes. The meat should be cooked on all sides but not fully cooked in the middle. Remove the beef from the oil using a slotted spoon and place the beef onto a paper towel-lined plate. Repeat again with rest of the beef.
While letting the beef sit on the plate, remove any excess oil from the large sauté pan and place the pan again over medium heat. Pour the sauce that was made earlier into the pan and bring to a boil. Next add the meat and cook it all together while stirring constantly. Once you see the sauce has thickened, stir in the cut scallion greens evenly throughout the pan and take the pan off of the heat.
Finally the food is ready and you can serve!
