belowthefork Officially my "crunchiest" change over yet: just made my own deodorant! After reading a VERY convincing article from #Mamavation about cancer-causing chemicals in mainstream deodorants & anti-perspirant, I decided it was time to make the change to DIY it at least an all-natural store brand kind. I've been using Kiss My Face for a week to help with the detox (YES! You have to detox from years of chemicals! Scary right?! ) Im taking the plunge to this. I'll post a report in one week.   •   angmbishop INGREDIENTS: 1lb ground chicken 1 package of antibiotic and hormone-free andouille sausage (sliced) one onion (diced) 2 to 4 celery stalks (chopped) four garlic cloves (diced) one red and one green bell pepper (diced) one 28oz can of diced tomatoes 3 cups of broth 2 cups of rice one teaspoon each of dried thyme, oregano, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and salt. Plus a little pepper. DIRECTIONS: Brown the chicken in a little olive oil, add sausage, onion, celery, peppers, and garlic. Sauté until veggies start to soften. Add tomatoes, broth, rice and spices. Bring to a boil then quickly turn heat to the lowest setting and cover with a kid. Let simmer for about 40 5d

phzuniquediva @transformationfitnation posted obesity numbers across the US. Great post, but it's sad to see. Let's fight back and become healthier people. Dropping at least 10% of our weight will help fight illnesses and get us closer to being healthier. I inspire to motivate and hope you are the same.

Here is my repsonse to the post: I live here in Louisiana as well. The only gyms we have here are Planet Fitness, Spectrum, and UFC. The other issue at hand is some cannot afford to keep food on the table let a long a gym membership. Teaching our community how to do both with a small budget will help as well. Not sure what part of Louisiana you are in, but I would love to be apart of the attack on obesity. Nutrition is a passion for me. There are ways to cook our delicious food healthier. Also, create more outdoor programs for the adults and children that are affordable. I'm from Missouri. Every year they host a walk, run, hike, and canoe event for the entire year. simplyshe_ic I realized I haven't done a postpartum update since I was 6 months pp. On the left is a picture I took when I was pregnant with Cruz on Jan 6, 2014 at 8.5 months pregnant. On the right is a picture of me today, Jan 6, 2015 at 10.5 months pp. I took my first barre class of the year yesterday ( after taking 2 months off bc of sick kids and the holidays) and I got me feeling motivated to exercise again. My diastasis recti has healed slightly (more) since the 6 month mark but I'm still working on getting my core strength back--that proves to be a bit tricky when the ab exercises I am able to do are quite limited. What I think I really need is to book a vacation in order to kick myself into high gear again!
