nubiadamali This man is a King in their self sufficient village down in South Carolina. Eye had a chance to speak with them. The GIVE you land ..and actually help you sustain a self sufficient lifestyle. Eye told them Eye would come down.. He told me on October 4th they're having a festival.. so Eye will go on that date....
It will be exciting for sure

3llaj3w3ll This image really puts to words the concept of "Mama Africa." I loved it, the instant I saw it. To me, it not only represents the "Motherland", but also womanhood, a source of creation. It represents, also, the richness of the continent, as it renews itself (a pregnant woman?) (red as in the color of blood--essential to life?) ( green, in nature it indicates renewal, growth) l actually do not recall the moment, I fell in love, and really identified with my African identity/roots-- perhaps it was while I took Black studies courses in college?! Or maybe after my dad's untimely death, while wanting to make sense of it, I searched inward, internalizing who am I? I fell in love then, with African clothing, culture, and food! I almost exclusively wore African clothing for years. I was also fortunate to have befriended many African friends, to which I found kindred spirits, to lead me through my necessary journey, at the time. (And to them, I am forever grateful for their roles, in my journey️) Life always leads you where you need to be, at the exact time you need to be there. One of my greatest dreams, after traveling to my own beloved Ayiti, is also going "home" to Africa. My soul speaks of visiting Gorree Island, (a trip which I already know will be bittersweet), my hubby's land of C'ote D'ivoire, Morocco, Guinea--where Haitians are thought to have originated from. For me, the African and Haitian identity are synonymous, one and the same. It's who I am. #africa, #mamaafrica, #culture, #ayiti, #haiti, #identity, #roots, #identity, #me, #lifejourney, #gorreeisland, #guinea, #cotedivoire, #motherhood, #richness, #africalove, #renewal, #whoiam 10h
