crimson.caballus Well that was a bit of an overreaction, Piper.
I hit the ground with the whip because I saw her eyeing the corner of the arena which she occasionally likes to run into. A bit later we were able to achieve a smaller, more controlled circle when I stopped filming and was able to cue her correctly. I'm impressed with how much she's improving with free-lunging.

geronimo_and_tess This was the second time lunging Nimo. This time without the help of my uncle. We didn't even got a roundpenn to teach him. I'm so proud at him. He's such a good boy. #horse#geronimo#gelding#bay#quarab#quarbhorse#arabian#quarterhorse#oneyearold#yearling#colt#love#proud#lunge#lunging 2h

Goodmorning guys! I lunged Nick yesterday, but it didn't went great.. He wanted to run away from me and so he did. I really have to focus on my bodylanguage, cuz Nick is a really sensitive pony..
Well, I'm thinking about longreining today. If the weather is good I'll try to put my breast plate on, and just see if he want to pull the zweng (?).

Woah long caption. What are you going to do today?

  •   dizzyizzi23 My fav one is when he's jumping over air instead of the actual jump 22h
  •   beckylb86 That's my favourite too @dizzyizzi23 22h
  •   dizzyizzi23 He's like non I not going to be normal 22h
  •   katiexkody I loved his crazy moment when he half reared sort of then slammed his hoof on the floor then carried on 21h
  •   itsadressagethingg Sorry I'm stalking you now- from what I can see here it's nervous movement as he's tight though his neck. it took me about 10 times before Jester twigged on (however he's not the brightest bulb in the box) but if you ask him to walk as slowly as possible until his head lowers (it could take upto 4/5 minutes before he relaxes) and once he's done a few walk strides of that, really gently and very very calmy ask for a slow trot. if he throws his head up let him have a few strides and drop to walk then repeat the process again. At some point he'll go into trot with the same head carriage as the walk- then you praise like no one has ever praised before! don't let him stop walking though if he's getting into it :) xxx 21h
  •   beckylb86 Thank you @itsadressagethingg that's so helpful I'll try that out ️ xxx 21h
  •   itsadressagethingg @beckylb86 no problem chick, happy to help! you know where I am if you need anything else :) xx 21h

horse_shaping Really pleased with Aria's progress! She's been re-learning how to lunge (she had a bad experience last time) using a really long target and positive reinforcement. I've now phased out the target but as I do most of her training by myself, I needed a method to enlarge the circle without using another person. We've been using a 15m circle of raised poles and I'll gradually phase them out. It's been working brilliantly; she's really calm and starting to stretch nicely #horsesofinstagram #friesiancross #friesianwarmblood #friesiansporthorse #thoroughbredcross #greenhorse #younghorse #dapplebay #positivereinforcement #clickertraining #horsetraining #targettraining #lunging #backing #yesthatisapotty 1d
  •   driftingaaway Lovely, she looks really nice and relaxed ️ love her dapples too! 24h
  •   horse_shaping @driftingaaway thanks, I'm so pleased with how much she seems to be enjoying it! And I'm obsessed with the dapples 23h
  •   driftingaaway @horse_shaping Luna still loves her lunging despite doing it so much over the past year hopefully she'll start liking riding as much soon 23h
  •   horse_shaping @driftingaaway I'm sure she'll start to as she's realising that the saddle fits her now 21h

authentichorse I haven't worked with Lanzett or trained him for a few weeks now. I just can't do it. And I find that it is best for me to say everything as purely here on Instagram as it is in my mind.
I find it difficult to start on my own. It seems impossible, even though I have read the books, watched the videos and listened to the audio files.
I am talking about real life here. The authentic way is just so real and fulfilling that I already feel the urgent need to experience it entirely. This is why I need to go to the instructor, since I can't go to Hempfling yet.

  •   naturalhorsemanship_and_rats I felt that way when I started with my horses. They were pretty much wild when I started with them had no respect for anyone but themselves and were just downright crazy. You just need to focus one thing and do it. Start small. Start with the 7 games of parelli. You need confidence and so does your horse. After you and your horse have the 7 games down maybe start making them more interesting and difficult. 1d
  •   authentichorse @naturalhorsemanship_and_rats Thanks for the comment but I am not really into Parelli and neither classical riding. I prefer the authentic way . But thanks for offering help 🏼 3h
  •   naturalhorsemanship_and_rats Well from looking at your account it seems like you what you do is parelli 3h
  •   authentichorse @naturalhorsemanship_and_rats How is that so? There are only photos of my horse and me doing groundwork with him, also older pics of riding. I have also explained in my captions what I do and I will try better in future to describe more precisely what I am doing . 3h
  •   naturalhorsemanship_and_rats Well parelli is mostly groundwork and is based off of communicating with the horse in ways that they communicate with each other as well as partnership, communication and trust. Is that not basically what you do? I think I've just started following you so I may have not read all the captions. What would you say you do with your horse? (Not trying to be rude or anything) 11min
