One of my favourite things about Morrocco (actually almost everything in Morrocco was a favourite thing, lol) was the mint tea. Its nothing like the mint tea everywhere else in the world. Regular mint tea is soothing and relaxing, but a bit like drinking hot toothpaste. Morroccan mint tea, on the other hand has a much more complex flavour and is a lot stronger, with more earthiness to it. I prefer this, coming from a background of flavourful english black teas and aromatic asian green teas. And its served EVERYWHERE in Morrocco from the busy city of Marrakech, all the way out to the remote desert town of Zagora. It's served by restaurants, and more broadly offered by the kind #hostel and #kasbah owners, as well as when you enter homes as a gesture of welcome. It was a custom I definitely enjoyed very much and it was great being able to chat with the different people I met over tea. :)
