carenhearts4 Here's my #tbt for the week (the dvd not me)...it took one to change my life, to put me on my healthy path, and help me lose 35 lbs. That's it...ONE at home dvd. Sure. I have several now. I have bands and weights, a Bosu and equalizers, medicine balls, etc....but it started with ONE dvd. I did that same "cardio party" everyday, sometimes twice for probably years. Crazy thing....it just made me feel better, I didn't even realize what was happening. It wasn't until a fellow mom stopped me at kindergarten pick up to ask what I was doing. What I was doing? What was she talking about? I went home, looked in the mirror, and sure as shit...I'd morphed into this whole new body. It happened right before my eyes without me even noticing (yes I was THAT depressed). My diet, on the other hand, took longer to "fix", but...it happened. How was I gonna eat junk when this ONE dvd was working? It became harder to grab the chips and pizza because this ONE dvd was changing my body AND my mind. Chalene, Mindy, Holly, George, Jenelle, Angela, AnnaRita....they were my "friends" that I hung out with everyday. YEP...I'm talking about Turbo JAM. It's still my soulmate workout. I can throw it on when I'm down and out (just like many moons ago) and I'm instantly surrounded by my peeps, my inspiration, my fit fam.
Long post for me....here's my point. Just start! Start today, right where you are with that ONE dvd or ONE piece of equipment. Your journey begins with your decision to do something for yourself because you deserve it. You deserve to look and feel alive. A healthy lifestyle will give you that (one step at a time)...I promise. #throwbackthursday #turbojam #chalenejohnson

carenhearts4 I wish my morning abs lasted all day. I know they're there, I just haven't found the right combo to make them pop. I know my faults are in my diet, so I'm REALLY looking forward to the arrival of my 21 Day Fix Extreme program. carenhearts4 Your fitness journey will go through lots of stages. You'll face tons of challenges. Whatever takes you off track (whether it's an injury, a bad day, or different priorities) doesn't define you. Recommit to yourself and your goals.
I love working my abs with this exercise. In fact, I probably do this move most. Start in plank with your feet on the ball, then pull your knees to chest, and back out again. Stay balanced!
