Normal The Flavour Chef
theflavourchef Tomato Soup – Rich and flavoursome w/o the cream!

1-2 Tbs extra-virgin olive oil
1 large white onion
1 large garlic clove – peeled and crushed
2 tbs all-purpose flour
3 cups low-salt chicken broth
2 x 400g crushed Italian tomatoes – (Italian and herb are nice)
1 tsp brown sugar

1. Heat oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until soft (not browned – should take around 8 minutes. Add the flour and stir to coat the both ingredients.
2. Add the broth, tomatoes, brown sugar and some pepper if needed. Bring to simmer on medium-high heat while stirring constantly. Once the flour isn’t sticking to the bottom of the pan, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for around 40minutes. If your tomatoes are thick – you can let it cool and use a blender to puree it more.
3. Let it cool for a while before serving warm, not hot. Garnish with your Flavour Chef seasoning of choice – chilli works best!
