tiirose_ Lunch/Dinner (because I'm not going to finish all this) Freshly made carrot juice w pulp and a bowl of seasoned mixed beans+ quac+ cherry tomatoes+ shredded veggies. • I get asked a lot of questions from people who want to change their lifestyle to Vegan and one of the most common questions (besides protein) is if it's expensive. I've been food shopping for myself for a couple of years now and for a variety of different diets. What I can say, is that there's little difference in weekly expense when comparing no animal products in your diet to a diet based on animal products. Realistically, you're going to be spending more when shopping organic in general but it's worth the dollars difference in my opinion. Now as for shopping organic and vegan, that all depends on the individuals creativity and preference. A helpful tip is to buy things that are very versatile. Such as Kale, I use it in smoothies, salads, purée it with your favorite seasonings for a pesto, bake them into chips, cook them with spinach or shred it up and sneak it into rice for hidden nutrients ! The possibilities are endless, you just have to be creative and learn how to make the best of what you got. Experiment with different seasonings, Cumin and turmeric go great on just about anything and all you need is a little pinch for amazing flavors. Instead of buying dressings, make your own. Its simple just blend herbs and veggies. Invent different combinations and have fun making your meals! The pic above is a good example of a protein packed meal and low in cost! You can get organic beans for around a dollar and change, they're filling & a great source of protein (13-39 grams depending on the bean). If you're interested in a plant based diet & have concerns, don't hesitate to ask me. I'm not an expert but I obtained a lot of valuable information on my journey so far 7min

la_vida_vegan #tacotuesday again. Sweet potato and onion sautéed in coconut oil with cumin and black beans. I always like the contrast of cold and smooth with hot and savory, so I topped woth shaved tomato slices and chunky avocado. So so so good and made with random ingredients I had laying around that needed to be used up. Win-win! 10min
