mykitchen_inthewoods I'd have to say making up creams and tinctures would be one the most satisfying parts of my job. Working with the herbs, oils and flower essences is very special indeed. There is something very powerful and deep rooted in this knowledge and I never stop learning off others @moniquejprior . Can you guess what has made this cream so yellow?? ..... Yes it's Golden seal, mixed with a few other friends specific for a leg ulcer #goldenseal#beauty#cream#holistic #naturesbest #naturopath #naturelover_gr #naturelover#igersmelbourne #herbalmedicine #herbnerd #inspo #instapic #instahealth #naturalmedicine#nourish #healing#sustainableliving#love #mediherb#essentialoils#flowerporn#herbalcream#apothecary#naturopathy 1w

boob.e.life Been using #coconutoil on our dogs for the last few months and love it that much more.
Pia is albino with a really sensitive immune sys. & alleriges. Because of it her eyes are constantly irritated & get infected really easily. So much that if it were up to a vet, we'd have to give her antibiotics everytime the seasons change. Instead, a friend of ours suggested #colloidialsilver for when her eyes are infected, #goldenseal for her immune system and we now use coconut oil to clean her eyes out each morning. When i was #nursing i would use my milk to clean her eyes and that worked WONDERS also!!! Our handsome Duke has bad breath so we stopped giving them regular dog treats all together and just give them carrots dipped in coconut oil as treats. Totally stops the hallitosis ... We also use the oil as a conditioner for them when they get their baths too!

clejuicebox A natural expectorant. Used to fight infections of the mucus membranes, including sinuses. Very bitter but can be effective. A little lemon and honey helps #365chancestolivehealthfully #bewell #organic #goldenseal #herbal #naturalremedy #dontholdyournose 2w
  •   cyclegirl531 I need this! 2w
  •   clejuicebox @cyclegirl531 it is not pleasant! Lmao. Drink w intention not the tea that curls up w a good book. But works! Lol 2w
  •   roisinh_ @clejuicebox Currently taking this and the taste is definitely not pleasant, worst ever in fact Do you suggest taking the honey and lemon after? Also why not hold your nose? Sorry to bother you with Questions 6d
  •   clejuicebox @roisinh_ "don't hold your nose" was a joke! Haha. I agree, it's not pleasant but I squeeze the lemon right in and add honey, which makes it a little more tolerable, I think. In fact, I actually get used to it. To say I enjoy would be a stretch but it becomes more tolerable with time. Good luck! 6d
  •   roisinh_ Oh haha, woops!! Oh ok I'll give that a try, Thanks 6d

braydel So since we came back from visiting our families in SE Alberta, we've all been sick. I managed to be the least severe, which I give credit to my precautions for!

Usually I take about 3000 IU of #VitaminD daily (especially in the winter, when many of us experience the blues). But as soon as I felt the sore throat coming on, up to 5000 I went! Vitamin D assists your immune system and is beneficial for all body cells.

In addition to vitamin D to kick this virus, I've been taking #goldenseal, #echinacea, and a #VitaminC with flavonoids to help jumpstart the immune system and protect from free radical damage.

  •   braydel I take the Usana vitD @ashleytalarico I like them cause they're really little, so it's easy to take a higher dose! 2w
  •   stergioskakalios this is a picture that made me stop scrolling down! great IG! 2w
  •   robertminarich Right on! Hows business going for you? 2w
  •   j_jeffs Hey girl, just be careful taking that much Vitamin D. Taking too much causes calcium to build up, which is actually really hard on your heart and kidneys especially. 4000 IU of vitamin D (from all sources) is the safe upper limit, but recommended doses are usually 1000-2000 IU of vitamin D per day unless you're deficient. But you get to decide what's best for you - just know the facts! 2w
  •   braydel Absolutely, thx @j_jeffs ! I think it's pretty hard to overdose on D unless you're taking say 50,000 IU for an extended period of time. But I know that typically they say nothing over 1000, but I feel like that's nothing near therapeutic and I don't get it from the sun, that's for sure. I also need more for my underactive thyroid. Thank you for the advice! 2w
  •   j_jeffs Of course - you know what's best for you. Just be careful because posting on social media can encourage people to take high levels of something they're not fully educated about. Googling Health Canada vitamin D recommendations links you to a reputable site. Also https://myhealth.alberta.ca/health/pages/conditions.aspx?hwid=za1487 2w
  •   braydel Oh yeah, I would never recommend someone a certain dose without getting their blood levels checked first! Thank you for the resource @j_jeffs 2w
