illustrayt I jumped the gun a bit too fast from the mile 1 to 2 transition, then toned it down too much for mile 3 😕. I need to learn to control the progress of my pace more gradually... 42min

hayz808 Day 32: #FBF to last Sunday's race. This was the 1st race that I wasn't completely prepared for. Training started well, but unfortunately, suffered greatly in the last 6 weeks. Nevertheless, I had planned to simply enjoy myself and have a great time. I actually surprised myself and ran better than I thought I would. I went into the famous Mile 10 with big smiles and even bigger shakas. But, half way up I experienced my first migraine ever during a race. My right eye was in so much pain, my entire head throbbed constantly, and I had stomach cramps and nausea. Every time I tried to run, the pain got worse. I was so close to the end with less than 3 miles to go. But because of the migraine I had to slow down and walk. I was devastated and felt so helpless. I couldn't enjoy seeing my name flash before me at Mile 12. Pain was that bad. Nevertheless, I never gave up. As I entered the last mile I remembered how lucky I was to be there at that moment, to be chosen to run Nike Women's San Francisco, and so grateful to be alive. God brought running into my life when I had just become a survivor of Domestic Abuse. I crossed the finish line with the reminder that running saved my life and continues to do so. That is why I am "Running with Aloha". (10.24.14) 2h

leah_balentine Hello from Maui! We got here this morning and have been exploring and shopping around. On the schedule today was a very sweaty and extremely hot ladder workout in 84 degree weather. It was painful and I'm glad it's done. Happy Weekend! #furtherfasterforever #milestogoendurance #run #runner #maui #Hawaii #hawaiirunning #hilife #brooksrunning #runhappy 3h

tommybarlowtri I've stood on mountain tops, on continental divides, in holy places, and even over the tomb of a dictator on the other side of the world. It's always interesting to think of others who stood in the same place, with choices of their own as to which direction their life would take. While many choices of the past have brought us to the very place we stand today and we can't ever change that for better or worse....how we choose to move forward from this moment and into the future is the greatest power we possess. The step forward may be physical, mental, or even spiritual but however you take it, go with confidence and determination to leave a legacy that will leave the world in awe, thinking about where you once stood and where you ended up. 3h

thecookierunner Ready to run tomorrow's Monster Dash Half Marathon. It's hard to believe I ran 26.2 miles two weeks ago and I still feel unprepared for tomorrow's 13.1. Tomorrow I run to release the week's stress. PR or not, I run for me. Showing @sparkleathletic and @motigo some love 4h
