Keep the promises you make, even (and especially) the promises you make to yourself. If you're not sure you can do it – tell the truth. Don't commit to something out of pressure. It's simple really: do what you say you're going to do.

Mama must-haves pt 5: PMA. positive mental attitude, babe. This changes e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. I’m sure you’ve noticed that your mood and your little guys’/gals’ moods have a lot of influence on each other. But when you’re working on your PMA every day, you’ll realize that you don’t tend to stay stuck in those “slumps/funks/ruts/whatever" as long. AND when your babe is cranky, it starts to not knock you off your game as much.
It’s not easy, but it’s possible as long as you give it a shot every day. Give it time and work at it a little each day. It gets easier.  How do you work at it? I pick up some personal development/personal growth/self-help type books that seem cool to me at the library and I listen to a few different ‘life coach’ kind of people on youtube. I think about people who have what I want or are doing things the way I am trying to do them and I look at what their doing and try to take what they’re doing and work it into my own life.
You gotta know that you’re not going to be perfect--we all get negative sometimes. But I think the idea is to just realize when you are, and take care of that shit right away. Think about what you can be grateful for. Think about how you can learn a lesson from the situation or turn it into an opportunity to do better next time. #positivemindpositivevibespositivelife #PMA

I’m finishing out this month with T25, and then making MAX30 my new year’s adventure, so it gives more of you guys a chance to jump in on this crazy MAX30 program with me. colleenquinnxoxo It’s been a long Sunday, but we cut down our Christmas tree and I couldn’t be happier. Christmas is just so much cooler when you’ve got your own kids, right? We really don’t have a lot of traditions just yet, but the one thing we’ve always done is venture way out and cut down our own tree. I love it. I probably should have taken pictures of the process, but I guess that’s what happens when you’re really just being in the moment. Orrr just when you have to chase around your cranky two-year-old, lol. Nothing got me down or "ruined my day" because I did my workout and made a shake for the road before we headed out. It’s really blowing my mind how much more on top of things I feel when I’m starting my day with my exercise. Pretty much like night and day as far as where my head’s at.xoxo #merryandbright 2w

colleenquinnxoxo I’ve made shakes and smoothies before I came across shakeology, but I was always like “this will never fill me up,” and I would throw half a jar of peanut butter or a mountain of granola on top, lol. But when I make my shakes now I barely need to add anything--some almond milk, banana, and pb2. Sometimes frozen strawberries.
Shakeology has protein, yea, but unlike a lot of other powders out there, it also has 23 of your vitamins and minerals, and 70 different super foods JAM-PACKED with nutrients. Going about our days and exercising/working out depletes our nutrients, guys. We need to replenish, otherwise we get sick, stressed, and have no energy, you know? colleenquinnxoxo I worked out in the mornings every day this week, instead of waiting until Riley took a nap like I have been the last couple months. I realized that nap time needed to be dedicated to work stuff, that I want Riley to see me working out and realizing that it’s part of my life, and that the longer I waited to do it, the harder it was for me to stay motivated and do my best. I’m so glad I stuck with it, because even a small change like this has totally made me a little happier this week. Everyone is different and has different situations, I know, but my stay-at-home and work-from-home moms and dads, I encourage you to give morning workouts a shot. It puts me in a better mood and I feel so accomplished first thing in the morning, ready to take on the rest of the day. I mean I love working out now, but it still feels so good to have it behind me and not hanging over my head all day long!xoxo 3w

Own your failures just as much as your victories, you know? Peaks and valleys is just the way it goes. I don’t know about you, but I am always way more inspired by the underdog. I can relate to that. Everyone goes through hard/tough/negative/trying times, but “this too shall pass.” Feel all the bad feels, but don’t stay stuck there. Choose to make it a opportunity to come back and turn it into something positive. It’s not always the easiest thing in the world to do, but I think it really is as basic as making that choice and then taking it fay by day from there. YOU’RE A STONE FOX. xoxo

Doesn’t get much cheaper, faster, or more nutritious than this. I’m telling you, if you don’t think you like shakes or smoothies, you probably just haven’t tried the right mix or recipe.
