  •   dragon.artist Yessssssssssssss 11h
  •   biranshani אתה מצייר מעולה😀 10h
  •   georgey_girl54 Brilliant 10h
  •   nickmoscovitz @biranshani תודה... יש בי נטייה להסכים אתך אך לא אומר זאת מפורשות מטעמי צניעות בלתי מוצדקים... אגב, יש רבים שלא מסכימים... נשמות טובות... 😇 10h
  •   gwneliza "i feel like too little butter spread over far too much bread.. I'm getting old Bilbo.." (if i get that quote right) . I really love this drawing Nick! *tips non-existing hat at him* 9h
  •   nickmoscovitz @gwneliza oh yeah... Thanks! You know that Tolkien, more than a story teller, was a linguist... And if you had an opportunity to READ the trilogy, you will find it enormously challenging, it is laced with linguistic / poetic expressions of his passion for language. 9h
  •   gwneliza Maybe one day i'll read it when i have all the books. For now I'll enjoy it on the DVD. xD Thanks for the information thought! *looks at the clock* Right.. Anyway, sleepwell! 9h

nickmoscovitz Ian Mckellen - I just learned that there were other options for playing Gandalf... I shudder to the thought ... Phewwww! We are so lucky that it is him... Everything he played became iconically EPIC in historian proportions.. Really an amazing man #lotr #gandalf #thedavincicode #elijahwood #lordoftherings #viggomortensen #legolas #billyboyd #shadowfax #georgeezra #thewhiterider #mithrandir #tharkûn #greyhame #thegreypilgrim #theshire #láthspell #elffriend #gambitmovie #tyesheridan #gambit #charlesxavier #movienews #channingtatum #oscarissac #xmenapocalypse #ianmckellen #xmen #professorx #youshallnotpass 11h
  •   nickmoscovitz @taniasart indeed... One and only... 11h
  •   apache_____ @nickmoscovitz hehehe.... went through a Lord of the Rings phase way back then..used to watch the trilogy almost every weekend.... awesome movie. did justice to Tolkien's work. Fellowship still remains my favourite though. 10h
  •   nickmoscovitz @apache_____ the quintessential transforming experience for me as well , with a little difference: I read the trilogy for the first time in 1969... When I first saw the Fellowship - It was after reading it both in Hebrew and English for at least 15 more times... Once every 2 years, and Always , no exception , discovering new things , understanding more, and getting excited in a fervent way... The movies truly hit home - they exploded with my authentic literal impressions, as everything about their look and feel matched and exceeded my imagination . I know that this was the experience of many others who grew up reading the trilogy, way before anyone entertained the notion of making them into movies... Even though the scripting created some serious deviations of the story lines... Regardless, that was a huge bonus for me, because it gave me yet a new fresh way to experience middle earth... Thanks for listening 10h
  •   nickmoscovitz @apache_____ for me it "the Two Towers" - the deepest and most engaging. 10h
  •   gwneliza Amazing work as always 9h
  •   cesarjuarez4k One of the options was Sean Connery 9h
  •   nickmoscovitz @cesarjuarez4k well, with all due respect... Let Connery stay James Bond... That is enough me... I am so glad that did not happen. 9h
  •   apache_____ @nickmoscovitz the deviations mostly served to deliver a faster pace, more gripping and more intense. I imagine it would have been problematic to have Tom Bombadil prancing up and down. That part where they make Arwen drown the wraiths was just epic. I think the movies helped to create more powerful roles for the female characters. Cate Blanchett as Galadriel was just extraordinary. It's one of the few movies ever made where you can actually say there wasn't any bad acting performance. Honourable mention to Bernard Hill, Christopher Lee, Hugo Weaving.... great performances all around, and the soundtrack was pure genius. Howard Shore performed the movie score of the century. 3h
