  •   emzie_t1d @diabeticproblems23 Could not agree more, forever got told it as a teenager, and somehow they seemed to think it was a compliment 31min
  •   13_play_different_13 Actually I have met some pretty immature diabetics. I've even met some who refuse to be taught more about the disease by doctors or other type 1s and how to handle it better and that really makes me mad. 15min

  •   gracieshumate_ @courtneyrosen86 ummm not really... 15h
  •   lieslwium @courtneyrosen86 I am happy to inform you that insulin pumps are most commonly used by insulin dependent Type-1 Diabetics, who have not done anything to cause their condition. Despite your ignorance, T1D tends to be characterised as a childhood condition and is much more rare in those over 25, and presents itself regardless of how healthy, and active the person is. Very rarely do Type-2 Diabetics recieve a pump as it is more appropriately managed by medication, excercise and diet. T2D is indeed generally characterised by a lifestyle and can often be self-inflicted but they don't use pumps. So how about next time you go to open your mouth about diabetes you get your facts straight! #ihateignorance #t1Dandproud 14h
  •   teacherchick34 @courtneyrosen86 you must be kidding, right? Have you looked at the othet posters on this pic? We don't exactly fit your incorrect perception of diabetes, do we? 13h

michelle_cordial Not looking for likes/attention and I dont care what anyone thinks of me for doing this but ya I am a type 1 diabetic and im sick of the ignorant people who have no understanding of the condition and joke about it! You wouldnt critisise a person who has cancer or someone who has a disorder so why do it to a diabetic? Its a serious matter too? It may seem like them needles are small and dont hurt much but thats wrong! Taking them 5/6 times a day with constant blood sugar monitoring/control... Its not that easy and its a reminder that your different.. it doesnt end,its lifelong. Its stereotyped as "overweight"... type 1 doesnt mean your overweight!! Thats type 2 but that doesnt mean you can critisise them either! So tired of hearing "if your diabetic why arent u fat?" Or "diabetic in a candy store".. and ya I have been called overweight just cause im diabetic?! If anyone has a problem with what I am say it to my face or not atall! For everyone who has no understanding of it and thinks its funny please keep your opinion to yourself! Its just sick minded that people can joke about a serious condition...#diabetic #diabetes #diabeticgirl #typeonediabetic #typeone #type1 #diabeticlife #diabeticprobs #diabetictype1 #rant #life 3d
  •   pepperabby Stay strong!! People are ignorant and stupid- they're fault! Not your problem to worry about :) 3d
  •   loujaneee And 'did you eat too much sugar'.. Big respect on this, not an easy thing to live with at all. But stay strong, you're living through something that could easily take your life and that takes a tough person3d
