crystal1love Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. (NIV) ( Ephesians 6:11 )
Do you ever feel vulnerable to attack? Are you afraid that your responses to provocation may cause you to be unrighteous? Don't go into battle unprotected; instead, clothe yourself in God's armor. In verses 14-18, Paul characterizes this armor as truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation. He then finishes with the action of praying. Trust that God will equip you with the tools you need. ----------------------------------------- #god #godtalk #godisgood #daily #devotional #dailydevotional #jesus #jesusfreak #jesuschrist #scripture #bible #believe #bibleverse #verse #lord #like4like #likeforlike #spamforspam #spamme #faith #followme #follow #hope #pray #prayer #holy #christian #religion

theological_calx [PART 1 of 4]: Different theologians list various terms, regarding the events that surround salvation. They sometimes give them an order to help us see the work of God in people. This order is called the, "ordo salutis," or, the, "Order of Salvation." According to Wayne Grudem's Systematic Theology, page 670, ten subjects are listed:
1. Election - God's choice of people to be saved
2. Proclamation - of the Gospel
3. Regeneration - being born again
4. Conversion - faith and repentance
5. Justification - right legal standing
6. Adoption - membership in God's family
7. Sanctification - right conduct of life
8. Perseverance - remaining a Christian
9. Death - going to be with the Lord
10. Glorification - receiving a resurrection body .....There are debates on the exact order and timing of these elements, but the above list should give you a good idea of the issue. There does seem to be a logical order of events. Obviously, glorification follows our death, sanctification follows justification, etc. If you would like me to make a post on those terms let me know. There is particular controversy regarding election and predestination. The Reformed (Calvinist) position teaches that election is the act of God before the foundation of the world, whereby God chooses some people to be saved. This choice is not based upon anything in people, but is left up to God, and His sovereign will. By contrast, non-Reformed theologians often hold the position that God looks into the future, and sees who will make a "free will" choice to believe in God, and that God's election is based upon this foreknowledge. There are good theologians on both sides.

  •   theological_calx [PART 2 of 4]: Unfortunately, there has been (and still is) great controversy in the Church over this particular issue (and the Doctrine of Predestination). Many of my past posts on this topic stirred up great discussion and also heated arguments. This is not what I intended these posts to be. I just want to give an understanding to people who don't know. There is one gentleman who has commented on a few of my posts stating that I have a misunderstanding on some of the views coming from the opposite side (and refers me a book to read).... if that brother would be so kind to post his concern here or DM with that reference and concern. It is difficult to get back to people later in the day because not all notifications fall through on Instagram for me. Those who disagree in the area of election and predestination (and eternal security), must filter their disagreements through the love of God, for the sake of unity in the body, so that God will be glorified, as the unbelievers see our disagreements practiced with love and tolerance toward each other. 1h
  •   theological_calx [PART 3 of 4]:Having anger towards me and this position and raising debates in anger I believe is ultimately sinful. The Lord has grown me and continues to grow me in this area and I have grown tolerant over this issue with those of you who would disagree with me on these issues (Which are debatable). I believe that every Christian should have an opinion that he has developed through Biblical examination. But I also believe that such opinions should not cause separation in the body of Christ, nor should they damage the Communion of the Saints. We must exemplify love to one another, as Jesus has commanded us to do. 1h
  •   theological_calx [PART 4 of 4]: Salvation belongs to the Lord (Psalm 3:8), and Jesus is the author of our salvation (Heb. 10:2). But then We might ask ourselves - from what are we saved? And even another question - from Whom are we saved? First we must realize, we are saved from the righteous judgment of God. God is loving, kind, and gracious, and He does not take pleasure in the death of the wicked (Ezekiel 18:23). But, He does judge, because He is the righteous and holy Judge, and He must punish the sinner. He cannot let rebellion against His Holy Law go unpunished. If He did, then how could He be just? Therefore, God's righteous judgment is upon all who break the Law: all who are sinners. To be saved, is to be saved from the righteous judgment of God. It means to be saved from the damning work of condemnation, that God will impose upon all who have not found forgiveness in Christ. This judgment will occur at the Final Judgment, when all people will be examined. Of course, the Christian has passed out of the judgment of condemnation (Rom. 8:1), and his works are the only things that will be judged. 2 Cor. 5:10: "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad." The non-Christian, however, will suffer the full judgment of God, in the form of eternal damnation. 1h
