valle_della_rovina "Friday White Frights" Miracle Valley Training Center, it was built in 1958 by A.A. Allen who was 1 of the 1st televangelist. In 1961 the church was renamed Miracle Valley Bible College. He preached from the 1940's, 50's & 60's claiming he was in this world to preach the word of God & help God perform "miracles" to heal the sick, deformed, & possessed. With all the good he claimed to have done, his legacy was left scorned with buried lies & selfishness. He hid his true self behind God & a drinking habit that ending up claiming his life in 1970 @ age 59 (allegedly he drank himself to death while abusing medications). The church was then passed on to Allen's protégé Don Stewart. Shortly after Allen's death, he was accused of embezzling funds from the church though no charges were officially filed. Chicago immigrants moved to Miracle Valley to attend MVBC in 1979. Racial tensions had been building over the years & when cop tried serving traffic tickets to some of the congregation members in 1982, a riot ensued & ended in a gun battle were 2 members & a deputy were killed. Shortly after that an act of arson claimed the administration & warehouse building. The insurance company offered 1.5 million to rebuild or 1 million to not rebuild. Don took the million, pocketed it & put the church grounds up for sale shortly before asking his 100,000 mailing list for donations to help rebuild. Don currently lives in a 2.5 million dollar house in Paradise Valley, AZ. Since then, he's been under investigation by the federal government over fraud & misuse of funds. Most of his followers no longer follow him due to the scandals. In 1976 Southern Arizona Bible College (run by Central Latin American District Council of the Assemblies of God) rented a part of the property to use. 690 students attended here until 1995 when they closed due to lack of students. This property has sat dormant since then. It's tabernacle silent. No longer are there rants of damnation & donations. No longer do disillusioned flocks of people follow self declared "faith healers" who's greed & personal values out weights the faith they preach. 7h
