I initially did this with my @pilotpenusa Metropolitan fine fountain pen, but didn't like the way it looked (guess I'm still getting used to it), so went back to my old standby 0.38 Pilot Juice gel pen. It feels much more representative of my actual handwriting.

misty.stuker Seriously, it feels like summer out the last couple days in Portland. I think we all needed that around here! Enjoying my daily superfoods outside and taking a moment to think through the things I am feeling grateful for today. Gratitude is something I strive to spend time on daily and it has helped so much with my self-talk which I have to admit was pretty critical and negative for a long time. It's hard to move ourselves forward when we are putting ourselves down all day.
Where is your mindset? Is that something you struggle with? If so, I challenge you to start a gratitude journal and take time everyday to sit down and write at least 3 things you are grateful for. Do this for a month and see where your mindset is after thirty days of being grateful

Start. And then keep going. Too many give up right before success.
Ok so my video might be a little boring. But. ... here's my reasoning for showing it.
Push ups were my nemesis.
I dreaded them. I cheated on them. I struggled badly.
But look at how far I've come. A FULL minute of inclined pushups.
(I sped up the video to save you time. )
I've gotten stronger, because I stayed consistent. I kept pushing myself. I kept going even when I dreaded them. I would tell myself just one more.

When it hurts and you want to quit that's when you tell yourself just one more. Do this every day and you'll get better. You'll get stronger. Lots of love.

happydiary_org At first you might think it won’t work. You might have doubts. You might not trust it, cause you can’t see it. It’s untouchable.
You might think there has to be a big reason to be grateful.
Winning the lottery, owning a house, driving a fancy car, having expensive clothes.
These are goals. Legitimate goals if you want to pursue them. But don’t expect them to make you deeply happy.
It is not the things that happen that make you happy. It is your perception of them.
Can you be happy for a warm bed? Sure as hell, when you just came back from a 2 month outdoor trip just sleeping in a tent on the floor.
Is it possible to take the time and be grateful for the people and relationships that you already have instead of being desperate for new ones? Of course – just picture your life without your 2-3 closest people. You won’t have a problem.
And don’t just think it. Go deep. Really imagine. Life would’nt be the same.
Taking some minutes of your morning every day to appreciate what you already have will enforce you. It will make you happier. It will make you more positive. And it will make you more aware of your true goals in life.
You might not believe this. You might have doubts. And you might think this is bullshit.
But you might not ever win the lottery. You might not ever own a house. And you might not ever have the money to afford fancy clothes.
Give yourself permission to be grateful. Practice it every day. Write it down. And see your life changing.
