sassy_shears #GoodMorningGod Grow strong in your weakness... I am developing your ability to trust Me, to lean on Me rather than your understanding. Your natural preference is to plan out your day, knowing what will happen when. My preference is for you to depend on Me continually, trusting Me to guide you and strengthen you as needed. This is how you grow strong in your weakness. #ThankYouJesus #DailyDevotional #JesusCalling 35min

baptized11282010 DAY WRITER💭 "All the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be."
(Psalm 139:16, NIV) Why does Almighty God, a being with unlimited health at His disposal, write pain into today? Why does God, initiator of various infinite excitements, write drudgery--the tedious repetitive routine of caring for someone who can't care for himself--into this day for me?
These questions nettle us. In John 9:1-3, Jesus' disciples saw a desperate blind man and asked the question that nettled them. "Rabbi, whose sin caused his suffering?"
"This happened so the glory of God might be displayed in his life," Jesus replied. Jesus' answer shifted the conversation's focus from a perplexing human question to a satisfying divine answer. Then Jesus acted to display God's glory.
Like the disciples, we ask questions rooted in human perspective. God's answer helps us look at life from His perspective. Maybe God wrote our pain so His glory could be displayed in our lives today. Maybe He wrote pain because He knows that without it you won't grow in area's He wants you to grow in. Maybe He wrote pain so you could see with clarity, His hand of love working in your life.
Allow God to shift your focus from your pain, to His glory. He promises to show up and arrange circumstances--so He is your hero. Pain may lead to a cascade of spiritual blessing. Drudgery may be the backdrop for extravagant compassion.
The God who writes the pain is with us. He writes with purpose and love--and with our supreme benefit in mind. Dear God, Author of life and each day, help me trust You with my pain. I beg You to take it away--but if my pain brings You glory, and is designed to work out for my good, I ask You to take my focus off myself and help me turn my thoughts to You. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN!

insta_manna In the new covenant, we are only given one commandment to follow: believe in the Lord and love one another. All other worthy behaviors come out of following this commandment. This is ONE commandment because the Lord's life within us is the true source of our love for one another. God is not requiring us to follow many rules; just tap into His life and love the people around you today. 5h

herescuedme7 Isaiah 41:10 Fear not for I am with you I am your God I will strengthen you. I will help you I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." He is your God, He is your king, your rock, your refuge, your cornerstone, your fortress, your refugee, your joy, your hope, your deliverer He is your God who will help you. So many times we limit who God is and what God can do we put restrictions on God yet we forget that our God is greater, stronger and hight then any other. Give your cares, your fears your worry to God. He will help you he will hold you guide you leade you direct you. God is bigger then your giants the same God who parted the red sea, who calmed the storm, who tore down walls with people screaming, who healed the blind that same God is alive today. Let God be your strength let God be your help if you feel like you can't do it on your own your right you can't but when you give it to God he will do it for you. Cast your cares upon him because he cares for you. It's hard not to be afraid sometimes but know this in that fear dont look to what's going on around you but look ahead to who already is there it's joy, it victory, it gladness. crossfit_my_heart Isaiah 41:10 “Don’t be afraid…I am with you.” There are different kinds of fear. There’s the kind that warns you to stay away from fire. There’s the kind that cultivates respect for God (See Ps 2:11). Oswald Chambers said, “When you fear God, you don’t have to fear anything else.” There’s fear that makes you feel helpless; sometimes it’s rooted in parental criticism or a bully’s threats, and although it’s groundless, it still haunts you. There’s the fear of failing, which if left unchallenged becomes the father of failure. Job said, “What I feared has come upon me” (Job 3:25 NIV). There’s fear of the unknown where your imagination runs amok. What if you never meet the “right person,” or you lose your job, or the biopsy confirms the worst? Over and over in His Word God says, “Don’t be afraid…I am with you.” Paul Tournier notes: “Life and faith always insist on moving on—and I cannot move forward without leaving something behind. The trapeze artist must let go of one trapeze at precisely the right moment and hover in the void before grabbing the other. Faith calls us out of our comfort zone…to learn new skills and minister in different ways.” But we get uptight. We think, “What if God asks me to do something I can’t do? Or I don’t have the strength, wisdom, or faith?” If you were relying on your own resources, you’d be in trouble. But the fact is, “God…knew you and chose you” (1Pe 1:2 NLT). Every time you meet a new challenge He strengthens you by proving that He not only supplies the tools, but is responsible for the outcome.

mrsrociodiaz Reconciliation

The word “reconcile” means literally “bring into a changed relationship.” It means to bring together two parties who should have been together all along. The Bible speaks of the human race as enemies of God. You may say that you are no “enemy” of God, but according to Scripture we are either passive or active enemies of God, apart from Christ. Reconciliation means “brought back into full relationship and fellowship with God.” This is what Christ accomplished on the cross. What a thrilling thought!

Daily Prayer

Your cross, dear Savior, brings me to my knees in humble gratitude. Thank You, for forgiving all the past and giving me strength to live each day in Your power.

zachdiestler God's timing is not always our timing...but it is always perfect.

PBJ: Habakkuk 2:3 "For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; for it will certainly come, it will not delay." Application:

Waiting sucks. Everyone knows this. That's why waiting rooms have so many distractions in them: magazines, TV, books, pamphlets, etc. It's as if they're saying: "Hey, there. I know you wanted to have your appointment at the actual time you scheduled it, but waiting's not so bad when you can sit in these uncomfortable chairs and read magazines you aren't interested in, right?!" But in "God's waiting room", it's not like that. There's only one book in that room: His word, the Bible. And it's not there to distract you from the fact that you're waiting on Him, it's there to tell you WHY you're waiting.

I spend a lot of time in God's Waiting Room...in fact, I pretty much live there. :) I used to be really anxious in that room; spending much more time pacing and watching the door, than reading His word and praying for guidance.

But then I began to learn about God's timing. I began to see how being impatient led to disastrous results, whereas being patient led to incredible blessings.

It's never "easy" waiting for God, but it's always worth it. "It's all in the timing": The right thing at the wrong time, becomes the wrong thing.

We can prevent that from happening when we trust in God's timing over our own.

Maybe it's important to ask ourselves something:

Shouldn't we trust the timing of someone who invented time?

Isn't it possible that our idea of time is a little more narrow than the one who is omnipresent?

Be patient. Trust God's timing. And let Him do His thing!

It sucks, but it's worth it.
