tiny.win.journey I need these today. I'm not motivated to run. I usually workout at work. But with the superbowl, I don't feel like leaving and I'm craving sugar something crazy (even though I had a chocolate bar last night and had a small pineapple upside down cupcake). But I have my next dress appointment in Atlanta (yup- we are going to Bridals by Lori!) in THREE weeks. I don't have time to slack off. When I lose motivation, that is where discipline comes in. athlete.mom Sometimes I think that my transformation was no big deal or not unique because you couldn’t see any big changes from the outside - not the typical weight-loss story where one loses a lot of weight or inches. I was at my ideal weight and have been my whole life with the exception of my three pregnancies (gained 20 pounds with each and lost it right away….I know…many women called me the “B” word because of this)….I kind of downplay my transformation as insignificant, “Who would find my story inspiring - you can't see any difference?" A lot of my story was about changing my eating habits from eating lots of “quick-to-make” processed foods with artificial colors, flavors and chemicals, fried foods, pizza, pasta, ice cream, frozen yogurt, big chocolate chip cookies, bread, bread and more bread and all kinds of other empty carbs with no nutritional value. It was important to me, prior to my inside out transformation, to gain more energy, improve my digestion, eat for vitality and sports performance🏼, decrease moodiness, learn how to make healthy but delicious meals that my whole family would enjoy, to teach my kids about nutrition and how to read labels, etc.

I was battling a journey inside my own head….thoughts that ran through my head were, "I was too busy to eat healthy and take the time to prepare food"…."It was too expensive to eat healthy!" "We were not a family who was overweight - we could eat whatever we wanted and not become overweight"….I had to believe that “I” or “we” were worth it and change my mindset.😀 The more I talk with women, the more I realize that is were most of us are at. We are all just looking for support, encouragement, hope! Trying to navigate the balance of taking care of our world while at the same time taking care of ourselves….that is the struggle!! What I try to teach women, especially moms, is to put themselves first, be the leader of the family in terms of committing to the changes that are necessary to take care of themselves and their families properly....your kids and husbands will adapt, believe me....I have been through it. sw_diary_x Well i went for my last run of #couchto5k week 1 !!!! DEFINITELY 'easier' than my first attempt and i'm chuffed as nuts i am already seeing improvements in my fitness and endurance. Not by much, no one else would notice, but i feel it and i've gone from 10.42mins per km to 9.40mins. Still bloody shite but not for this fat wobbly mess! no run will EVER be easy, i just need to push on. Am dreading week2 however, from 8 reps of 60 secs jogging & 90 secs walking to 90secs jogging & 120secs walking. I can JUST run for 60 secs. But i'll give it a goooo 😀 #slimmingworld #bodymagic 8h

It felt like a great time to make my first progress photo post. please also excuse my crazy bed hair lol. The left photo is right around when I started my fitness journey (end of August 2015). Right photo is from today. This is from 4 months of #bbg (started my first round in October), 1 month of #soretothecore, 1 month of #couchto5k, and a lot of hard work.
