polly_rockberger Today I was feeling inspired by all the delicious dishes and food ideas floating into my IG feed from @lambsios @cateale1 @sofia.papayapieces @annademoura @miriamhcraig and too many others to try to list - so here is today's offering.....enticing chubby courgettes and red peppers from the market in #etaples hollowed out and sauté with onion, mushroom, ground almond, a sprinkling of wholewheat breadcrumbs, mashed sweet potato, rice, lemon zest, bay, lots of fresh herbs...baked in a sauce of pomegranate molasses, a little tomato paste....finished with some halloumi - it's yummy if I do say so myself! #foodies #suppertonight #cotedopale 16h
  •   sofia.papayapieces Aww thanks, but now you are inspiring me for my dinner 16h
  •   annademoura Ouuuummm! Delicious , certainly ! Congrats !!!!!!! Enjoy your meal! 15h
  •   lambsios OMG! That sounds amazing! I must try that out soon. Seriously delish 15h
  •   polly_rockberger @lambsios I must confess there were a few other ingredients along the way...a shake of soy sauce, plenty of garlic of course, red onions as well as ordinary ones, sea salt, and I chopped one of the red peppers into the simmering sauté... there are no rules for we women of the year of revolt, 1968... this election has provoked a bout of political reminiscence - do you remember that era Lambi, picking one's way through the bodies sitting-in in the LSE lobby? So long ago...micro-skirts, long hair, cigarettes....students today don't have half the fun we did, it's all very serious today... 15h
  •   lambsios That's much the way I cook @polly_rockberger - adding ingredients as I go along ..... no rules indeed for we women of 1968. Yes, we did have fun, Polly - but then our era was a great era to grow up in! Swinging London in all its glory! It's very earnest & serious nowadays ..... Happy election day xxx 2h

polly_rockberger The sleepy french village on a damp quiet day - and a delicious Indian lunch by appointment at Le Tearoom, cooked just for us by Judy and Nick Gifford who have lived here for 20 years pursuing the idyll of a 'vie artisanale' in France and supplying jams to the poshest hotels in the world. #StRémyAuBois #hiddentreasures #leTouquet #cotedopale 3d
  •   lambsios Your sleepy French village is a mine of surprises @polly_rockberger - all of them look delightful 3d
  •   polly_rockberger Thankyou @lambsios! Our lovely Le Touquet is a little town famed for golf and casinos ( neither of which interest us), lovely food and great shopping (which interests us very much), forest and beach walks, and a small private airfield where people fly in for a slap-up lunch at L'Escale, the excellent airport restaurant where you can always see mechanics in their overalls and nobs of various degrees, scoffing steaks off their uber trendy slates side by side. Le2k as I like to call it was featured in a funny French movie with Charlotte Rampling called 'Summer people' - its fancy Hotel Westminster was and still is quite a starry place judging by the photos along the walls. We also have a great little museum, the Musée du Touquet, which puts on very well-curated art exhibits of international standard, lately a terrific one about French abstract art in the 50s, my fave period. There is also a summer piano festival every year, Les Piano Folies, with internationally known artists. Oh and on s less elevated plane we have the Enduro, a big annual vroom vroom moto rally. Definitely not a 'sleepy village' ! That was St Rémy au Bois near Montreuil about 20 mins away - pictures to follow! Have a good week x 3d
  •   lambsios Yes @polly_rockberger, I've heard of Le Touquet & I wondered why you called it a "sleepy little French village" hehehe! Look forward to seeing more pics. Have a good week too! xxx 3d
