faithhopelvoe Did you know that Euphorbia pulcherrima derives its common English name from Joel Roberts Poinsett, the first United States Minister to Mexico,who introduced the plant into the U.S.in 1825?! #justsharing #poinsettia #louisvuitton #lvoe #lvlover #lvaddict #lvfriends #speedyb30 #damierebene #lvluggagetag #lvprincessnastasia #jerushaaddict #bjtaylor02style #xxxeckyxxx #minks4all #thebagmemo #christmasflower #flowerstagram #flowers #flowersofinstagram #poinsettias #christmaseveflower #flordenochebuena 3mon

smalljinx #vscocam #day354 I've been given a small Euphorbia pulcherrima which is more commonly know as Poinsettia, a very popular plant around the festive period. The bracts come in a variety of colours:?pink, white, plum and of course red. I know they aren't the easiest of plants to maintain in the long term so if anyone has any tips I'd be interested to know. #Euphorbiapulcherrima #poinsettia #navidadflower #bracts #dentate #red #christmaseveflower #vsco #vscokk2 #vscokrochetkids #my365 #project365 #365project #smalljinx3652014 1y

  •   smalljinx Thanks @pizzanu and a Merry Christmas to you 1y
  •   sergpie They're native to Mexico, where they grow as trees. They prefer warm climates and a good amount of sunlight, but require at least twelve hours of dark during the winter in order for their leaves to turn red. They'll need to be pruned or cut back in the spring to ensure proper growth for the next season. 1y
  •   smalljinx Thanks @sergpie they sound like they are fussy! 1y
