femmeandfit Lunch the other day was turkey and chickpea burger patties with sweet potato, avocado and salad. The turkey and chickpea patties were a first time creation and turned out delicious Here's how I made them!
Ingredients: 500g turkey breast mince
400g can of chickpeas (drained & rinsed)
1 medium onion
1 garlic clove
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp ground cumin
1tsp coconut oil

In a food processor add the chickpeas, onion and garlic and process until smooth. Add this to the turkey mince along with the salt, pepper & cumin. Use your hands to combine the mixture and then form into burger sized patties. Heat up a frypan with the coconut oil and fry the patties on each side until golden. Makes approx 6 patties. Serve with baked sweet potato, garden salad (with an apple cider vinegar & herb dressing) & avocado.
