amber_fitfoodjunkie Why I don't do 'cheat meals.'. Actually, I've erased that phrase from my vocabulary entirely. #Flexibledieting has allowed me to have what I want or #crave when I want it in. Whether I want something, I'm going out to eat, I just don't feel like cooking (like tonight), WHATEVER, I just make it fit into my daily allowed #macros. Does this mean I bring a food scale everywhere I go? No. Do I have untracked meals? Absolutely. Depending on my goals at the time and their priority will determine how strict or loose I might be. If I have no intentions of tracking a meal I'll simply leave 'room' for it by putting calories/macros aside. You wouldn't cheat on your spouse or loved one. So why would you cheat on your diet? The verbage itself is incredibly negative and potentially detrimental both physically and mentally. #Cheatmeals too often turn into cheat days or binges, which often lead to guilt, guilt leads to restricting ones diet or trying to compensate, restricting leads to binging, and feeling guilt again as the cycle continues, creating an unhealthy relationship with food. Now, I'm not saying to never have untracked meals or even days (or weeks, like a vacation perhaps) where eating is not tracked precisely, or to not let yourself track loosely or not track a meal here and there. What I'm saying is it doesn't need to be thought of as a 'cheat'. Food is just that, #food. Now, I'm also not saying it always needs to be planned out either. Since nothing is off limits with flexible dieting - if you want something, have it. Allow life happen and enjoy it. My #mottos: #memoriesovermacros and everything in #moderation, including moderation!

lukeholbrook_ Apologies for the poor picture quality, my arms looked hilarious so had to sneak this selfie in the middle of the locker room while trying not to get caught - that's always awkward . I had an epic cheat day the previous day before, multiple doughnuts from @stansdonutschicago, half a deep dish pizza from Giovanni's, and more pizza later that night. Literally was full for 24 hours straight. But made for an epic 3 hour gym session focusing on arms and cardioacceleration. It's been awesome lifting all week with carbs in my system, I can feel the gainz coming, there's no way I'm not hitting my macros 😎. I'm not going to get out of control though, just temporary binges to get it out of my system...always have to live a little . Also been trying to wear my belt as tight as possible to see if it will help shrink my waist to emphasize my taper - probably a broscience myth (haven't done any research on it) but never hurts to experiment a little! darkcrowndave Dinner for one, im just sitting here eating my din by my lonesome watching people with lives walk by and enjoy the day.....and ive gone and made myself sad, possibly sad due to meal prep and not just the loneliness because meal prep sucks harder than a Dyson. At least this ceaser and like 16 oz of steak will fill up my piggy stomach and if not I have some ice cream and chips ahoy rainbow cookies.
