thatfit.body Usually on Mondays people start the day with a whooole list of things that they are going to do/not going to do this week This often leads to failure when it starts getting too overwhelming and then you just end up giving up on everything and telling yourself "ok next week". Start small, add on as you progress and feel proud of every achievement - no matter the size. Small steps lead to big changes.
Don't compare your journey to others, just focus on yourself

Happy Monday! ••••••••

yogachange Every yoga asana represents a journey... this journey is different for each person, but I like to believe that we can all find a place, a variation, that can prepare our body and our mind for that specific asana... here are five steps to either enter #ekapadagalavasana or prepare for it...personally I have spent many years practicing only the first two steps...it took a while for my hips to open enough that my hands could reach the floor.... enjoy the process!
1. Sit low on one leg and cross the other one
2 sit deeper...lower your center of gravity
3. Hook your toes to the upper arm and try to bring your hands flat on the floor (engage your core while lowering your center of gravity ) ... blocks can come in handy here!
4. Lean your weight forward and let your back foot lift (lots of core!)... keep your toes hooked!
5. Very slowly attempt to raise back leg... be prepared to fall on your face a few times #armbalance #doyourpractice #dontgiveup #itsaprocess #changetakestime #yogaolesa #yoga #eltaller #yogachange #yogini #stepbystep

ashleywilsoncroftfitness I was looking at old pictures on my cloud account and I came across some pictures from about a year ago. I was a little over a year into my fitness journey. I decided to compare them with my recent pictures I took about a month ago and I am just blown away by how far I've come. Change doesn't happen overnight just like gaining weight doesn't happen overnight! It takes hard work, dedication, determination, perseverance, and change to make it happen. I hated taking my before pictures but I'm so glad I did. I love seeing proof of just how far I've come! All that hard work, sweat, and tears are paying off. I'm just soo glad I have an amazing Tribe of friends who are on this crazy, amazing journey with me now! I don't know what I would do without my coach, @mistywalkerfitness, and our tribe! You ladies have helped me more than you'll ever know! #transformation #changetakestime #hardwork #hardworkpaysoff #ilovefitness #fitmom #ilovemytribe #teamrejoice #determination 3d

alani_morgan How many of us reflect on our lives, on a daily basis? How many of us use reflection as a tool to create more progress?
Remember what Einstein said about Insanity - doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results?
Reflection creates awareness and you cannot change something if you are not aware of it and progress is impossible without change.
Progress begins with reflection, even in the smallest of daily details we can use our experiences to reflect and create awareness in order to bring change!
If you are not happy with the result of a repeated process maybe try reflecting to help create action around your challenge. Meals, sleep, stress triggers, exercise are all areas of daily habits you can reflect on to create change. Spend a little time each day or week reflecting by keeping a journal - writing down how it made you feel and what you could do differently next time can go a long way in helping you create the awareness you need for change.
Reflection allows you to become more aware of a situation. Awareness creates knowledge and allows you to find any lessons that you could possibly learn from it. Use this new found knowledge to think about how you may apply these lessons to future events. How could you change that habit? What could be done differently next time? Commit to whatever change it is that you have decided on and put it into action. That action will lead to progress.
Edited to add: case in point, today i chose carrot cake over my usual banana bread, upon reflection, i am aware that i feel a bit sick. Lesson - carrot cake was too rich for my stomach. Action - next time, I will stick to banana bread. see? It is that easy!

mmcintyre8 It's a journey. It doesn't happen overnight. It takes time. Patience. You hit plateaus. You struggle. You cry. You vent. You think about giving up. Then you say NO! You stick to it. You're determined. You will persevere. You will get to where you want to be. It may not be as quickly as you hoped but it will happen. Just trust the process and keep moving forward. #trust #determination #perseverance #nevergiveup #changetakestime #myjourney #fit #flex #fitfam #fitspo #fitness #gohard #goals #gymrat #gymlife #muscles #musclesandmascara #bodybuilding #npc #npcfigure #npccompetitor #figuregirl #figurecompetitor #chickswholift #igfit #igfitness #igfitfam 3d

she_is_stronger Don't forget you're human. It's okay to have a meltdown, just don't unpack and live there. Cry it out and then refocus on where you are headed.

missywiechmann This picture has a story.

I was terribly inflexible my whole life.
I literally could not touch my toes for 35 years, and this pose you see in the picture blew my mind when I saw a fellow classmate do it (way back in elementary school) with ease. I thought for sure you had to be born that flexible.

Turns out I was wrong.

I am learning that with effort and time we can do what seems impossible.
It took repetition of this pose over and over again, and slowly stretching and training my muscles for many days to be able to accomplish this once-impossible thing for me.
Now I can't imagine not being able to do it.
Do you have things in your life that feel impossible for you?

What is holding you back from working toward them a little each day?

If your health falls in that category I'd like to help. Let's take baby steps and work toward making the impossible possible for you.
Private message me and we'll talk more.

ashleywilsoncroftfitness Living a healthy lifestyle isnt about restricting yourself but about learning how to find balance! When you're on a "diet" and you tell yourself you can't have something ever again you're just setting yourself up for failure!! When someone tells us we can't have or do something we just want it that much more! It's ok to have a small piece of cake, a glass of wine, or some chips here and there just don't go overboard. Just becauee I'm a coach doesnt mean im perfect! I have snacks from time to time and I have moments of weakenss! The more you make healthier choices the less you will crave the unhealthy food! It takes time to make and break habits so just take small steps every day and before you know it you will start to see AMAZING changes! What steps are you taking today to be a healthier you tomorrow? #smallsteps #dietsdontwork #makehealthychoics #changetakestime #itsallaboutbalance #nooneisperfect #beachbodycoach #ilovebeachbody #ilovefitness #fitmom 4d

abbyball14 WHAT I HAVE LEARNED FROM MY OWN FITNESS JOURNEY🏻🏼
1. Everyone's #fitnessjourney began for a different reason, just because you don't understand WHY someone does what they do doesn't mean you should "bad talk" or look at them like they have eating issues🙄 (jealousy is a very ugly trait---just a side note)
2. I am 1000% more confident in myself in EVERY aspect of life now. When I set a goal, I go into it thinking I CAN and I WILL accomplish it. I put aside the time, I make time, and I grind until I reach the goal.

3. Life isn't about the amount of breaths we take but WHO we take them with. Surround yourself with people who LOVE AND SUPPORT YOUThere isn't enough time in this world to spend it trying to prove to someone else your worth or even spend that time thinking what if they think (insert some ugly thought) about me? No, just NO. Stop🏻 4. This lifestyle isn't for EVERYONE and THAT IS OKAY, you don't have to understand what I do or WHY I do it, just RESPECT that this is what I LOVE to do

5. LOVE yourself in EVERY stage---this is THE hardest of them all. You CANNOT just love yourself when you are stage lean, you must learn to LOVE yourself at ALL stages. People always comment on how lean I am, but the truth is when I was 130 lbs I loved my body too. I have learned OVER time (its taken me ALMOST THREE YEARS) to love the girl staring back at me in the mirror. PROGRESS--MENTAL & PHYSICAL TAKES TIME!!! This is a MARATHON NOT A SPRINT🏻 Take things day by day and watch yourself TRANSFORM🏼 #ThrowbackThursday

whitleyanne_ I need to read then re-read this today. I woke up PUMPED to step on the scale and see a magical number### [[brief informative: I make it a point to only weigh myself once a week]] >>well needless to say I am dissapointed & I dnt want to be dissapointed bc I KNOW ive been working hard and making better decisions. □□I gave birth 2-19-16 && im down 34lbs since then ( but that's baby and all the goodies that came out with her included) □□& since March 12th ive lost a tad bid over 13lbs.
THIS IS A VICTORY I KNOW★ I just wanted more this morning, more recurrence. °°°im so used to being a yoyo dieter and starving myself and watching the pounds melt away with minimal effort. BUT then im always right back up ^^^ in pounds soon as I start picking up a fork again.
Ugh, && this time I told myself I didnt want to "diet" I wanted to change my lifestyle for GOOD so the weight loss is permanent && the healthy benefits lasting. ~~~its just a kick in the butt knowing how much ive changed what im putting in my body && being active EVERYDAY! ¤¤¤
Okay, sorry for my morning negative Nancy post. Onward I must go with my head held HIGH!
