little_pistol_ I have learned to trust my gut when it comes to forming friendships. I have been wrong, in some cases real fucking wrong but the times I've been right have made my life that much better. I met my best friend through the industry about 6 months after I moved here and he and I became thick as thieves in no time flat. Trips to moma, coffee at the local coffee shop, breakfasts, lunches and dinners when ever a companion was needed there we were ready to jump on board and the true test of friendship we traveled together and didn't come close to wringing each others necks. At first I think a good 75% of our bond is that it turned out we were neighbors it was like the kid that lived next door when you were little you could pretty much just walk into their house with out knocking cause it became an extension of your own. But it's when our lives started changing, he went back to school, I got injured, he got a serious girlfriend and I stared a new career that we've been able to see how close our bond really is. Now 3 years later when our lives have pretty much done a 180 we don't get to see each other as often sometimes it's less then once a month but when we do get our schedules to mesh it's seamless. This was probably the first portrait I took of him, since then there have been a million more but I keep coming back to this one. There was a sense of trust and comfort that I got from this first shot that I still see in his face, a familial bond we share. I have started encouraging myself tell my important people how much I love them because they are as important to me as blood. 2h
