jasminecfitness I always hear people say how they can't eat breakfast first thing in the morning, not me. When I wake up I'm starving and feel like I need to eat straight away so I've been having shakeology first thing. (Need to get myself one of those fancy shakeology bottles)

chrisstines Anyone else tried this yet? Want to hear others opinions.

My curiosity got the best of me today and I decided to try this out.

For those that don't know- the process of Cryotherapy - the process is like this- you basically, take off all clothes except underwear, put on socks, a robe and gloves and stand in a chamber for 2-3 minute that fills with liquid nitrogen to subzero temps. My ankles got a little cold but it really wasn't that bad. Definitely tolerable.

It claims to help you lose weight, reduce pain, improve athletic performance, improve sleep and slow aging.

Upon exiting, you spend some time stretching and doing some light cardio to warm muscles back up and get the full benefits.

I don't know how much of a difference I noticed or how much you are suppose to after just one treatment but I did feel more pep in my step and I WILL say that the nagging pain I typically have in my hamstrings was gone.

chrisstines For the longest time I was that gym rat. (still am i guess).
I worked out 6 days a week in different gyms. Crazy hard workouts. HIT, Crossfit, Boxing, Spin, BarrysBootcamp, etc. you name it- I had committed a portion of my life to it. I was strong and FELT fit.

But the PROBLEM was... I didn't LOOK fit.
My body just DID NOT reflect my efforts. Years, decades, spent working out and I felt like- what did I have to show for it? It was so maddening!!! I thought I had the nutrition down too. Here I was "eating so healthy" by pretty much anyone's standards. ... I mean - eggs, fruit, salmon and veggies seriously ruled my life.and yet with each passing month and year, I was getting NO closer to my goal for my body to reflect my work. In fact, I was slowly gaining weight! ugh!

Doing a fitness challenge for the first time was eye opening for me in that while I may have been making great food choices, I was making them in the WRONG AMOUNTS.

I thought that having a general idea of healthy would be good enough. Boy was I was wrong!! Now, I am so grateful for my knowledge of a balanced diet and to be able to use it to help others who felt how i did. No I am not perfect but I know HOW to get there and I have the support to keep me going.

Bottom line- If you are kicking butt in the gym without progress - its your nutrition. Proper diet is KEY to progress and results and i'd LOVE to work with you in my next group starting 5/9.
