atraditionalcatholic Amen! I feel kind of guilty reading this because I didn't say my rosary the last two days. I know that it may seem like prayer is boring and demanding, and if you have these thoughts, pray for them to end and persevere through prayer. The devil hates it when we pray, especially the rosary. "Every Hail Mary is like a blow to my head. If Christians knew how powerful the rosary is, it would be my end."-Satan to an exorcist. The rosary is like the most destructive weapon in a war. We will win the war against the devil if we pray the rosary! The rosary only takes about 15 minutes, and if you say the Chaplet of Divine Mercy (which I strongly recommend!!!), that adds about 5 minutes total. It's a short sacrifice of our time for the One who made the ultimate sacrifice for us. And it's hardly a sacrifice because you can experience contemplation (which you can research in your spare time because it's a really interesting topic; it's about the strongest form of prayer.) and inspiration that can improve your life. And when you pray petitions, or ask for something, you can even receive something you want. And also, ask the saints to pray for you and pray to them. A few saint prayers I like are the St Anthony Prayer for if you lose something. It goes like this: "Dear St Anthony, come around. Something's lost that can't be found." St. Anthony has helped me find things sooooo many times!! You can ask patron saints to help you when the thing they're patrons of is important to you or someone you know. For example, you can ask St. Peregrine to pray for someone if you know someone with cancer, since he is the patron saint of cancer patients. Also, affections are short prayers that can be said throughout the day, such as "Sacred Heart of Jesus, all to thee." Then in times of trouble in the day, say "Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in thee." Then, at the end of the day after reviewing your sins, say "Sacred Heart of Jesus, forgive me, a sinner." Another affection you can say is "Jesus, I love you." Or "Lord, please help me." Or "Mary, Mother of Jesus, be a mother to me now." Or "St. Elizabeth, please help me to have piety as you did." Or "Sancta Maria, Ora pro Nobis" 9min

go2steubenville With the Solemnity of the Annunciation earlier this week, it's a great time to reflect on Our Lady! Did you know that the Annunciation isn't the first place in the Bible where Mary appears?

Find out what the Old Testament says about her in our new blog by Dr. Lawrence Feingold | Link in profile.

  •   truecuttingedge Hey, is it possible for you to make ones out of higher end materials such as sterling silver, silver, gold, titanium, mother of pearl, and other such things? I plan on buying some of your rosaries either way, but I can not find anyone that makes them out of the more expensive materials. I would pay a lot more than your usual $35.00 if you can. 18h
