jenniferanne666 It's ridiculously hot and humid out today. I thought this was Massachusetts, not Florida.

limitstoinfinity 2007 Metal Blade Records release of the debut album, "Genesis" by Death Metal band, Job For A Cowboy!
Job For A Cowboy is:
Brent Riggs – bass guitar
Elliot Sellers - drums
Jonny Davy – vocals
Bobby Thompson – guitar
Ravi Bhadriraju – guitar
Review: "Genesis" is not an innovative album with a lot of breadth to speak of, but it isn't supposed to be. What the album more-than-succeeds at is being a very intense, technical, terrifically brutal, compact, and all-around impressive effort that metalheads will find difficult to dislike. For one, the musicianship the band displays here is nothing short of excellent. The dual guitar work is relentlessly busy, the drumming is deft and slamming, and the interplay between the three instruments is impossibly tight. Plus, the disc blends together elements of technical death metal, metalcore, grindcore, and even a trace of melodeath, so it should satisfy just about anybody who has a hankering for the heavy stuff. (The final sound is something akin to a cross of Dying Fetus, Suffocation, and Morbid Angel.)
Vocalist Jonny Davy delivers a powerful and fitting performance with brutal, visceral death metal growls and even some savage shrieks that appear occasionally in the mix, especially on track two "Reduced to Mere Filth". The guitarwork on here is very impressive. The riffing is brutal, relentless, and at times technical as well, and there's also a handful of short yet skillful solos thrown in as well.
The drumming is also very impressive as well. The blast beats are just pummeling, precise, and seriously balls-out, and the double bass kicking is very rapid and slamming while destroying everything in sight.
The guitars riff with and against each other through wavy polyrhythmic drum patterns that go from balls out blast beats, to jazzy break progressions.
Overall a badass debut
