daily.mlb From now on since the baseball season is ending I will be predicting who I think will win each award. I will start with AL MVP, and my pick is Mike Trout. He's had a great year. (.290 BA 35 HRs 110 RBI 16 SB). He is tied for 4th in the MLB for home runs with 35. He leads the AL in RBI. Not to mention he is tied for 11th in the AL in Batting Average. So I expect Trout to win the AL MVP. My darkhorse pick to win the AL MVP is Jose Altuve. He has a .343 BA and 56 steals which hasn't been done since Ichiro Suzuki in 2001. Trout is my AL MVP pick. 5d

daily.mlb My pick for NL MVP is Clayton Kershaw. He has had one of the best years ever. He leads the MLB in strike outs, Wins, and leads the NL in strike outs. No one has had a lower ERA since Pedro Martinez in 2000. His year includes a 1.77 ERA 21 wins and 239 strikeouts. Kershaw has been so dominant, he's lead the league in ERA the last 4 seasons. Since 1947, the only people to have two seasons with an ERA under 2 were Pedro Martinez, Greg Maddux, and Tom Seaver. That's a pretty elite list. If Stanton didn't get hurt, he would have been the favorite if Kershaw didn't get the award. Since he got hurt, I think it gives Kershaw a better chance to win. My darkhorse pick is Andrew McCutchen, last years NL MVP. Hes had another great year. Kershaw is my NL MVP pick. 5d

daily.mlb My pick for NL Cy Young is Kershaw. This is a no-brainer because Kershaw is way better than everybody else. Leads the NL in every main category except saves because he is a starter not a closer. He is just better than everybody else and you can add that no hitter to his resumé. Clayton Kershaw NL CY Young and NL MVP winner. 5d

daily.mlb For my AL Cy Young, I believe Felix Hernandez will win. His ERA 2.34 is second in the American League, Chris Sale has 2.17. He is 4th in the league in strikeouts. He only had 14 wins because he's playing on the mariners, if he was on the angels than he maybe would've had 24 but since he had 14 this decision gets close. He isn't the best pitcher by a mile, nor does he have the best stats in any of the major categories. Then when you think of any other pitchers you can't think of any. Sale did great in ERA but nothing else, not to mention he barely made it as an all star. I'm not saying I do this completely based on stats because that's wrong; Felix didn't finish well but he pitched well throughout the season, and even though he had that bad outing against the blue jays I predict Felix Hernandez to win the Al Cy Young. 5d
