jmruiz127 I have about 9 #alarms set to wake me up throughout the night to pump, only because I have 3 per wake-up time; I have a terrible habit of turning off alarms in a half-asleep state. I even have Louie call to make sure I'm up #ididntchoosethepumplifethepumplifechoseme #pumping #mama #nicu #mommy #baby #23weeker #niculife #breastfeeding #goals #almost5monthsofthis #anythingformybaby #mynightsarecray 20h
  •   unique_rosaa @jmruiz127 how many times a day do you pump? And for how long? My milk supply was crazy i was getting 50oz for 5 pumps that i would do, i had to stop and now that i pump about 2-3 times a day i notice it dopped but not as bad as me not having enough for my sons feed, i have so much things that can help you , dm me or txt me and i can tell you some things i recommend or helped me with pumping(: (408)876-0826 19h
  •   bridgy1117 Good job momma! You have done wonderful. 18h
  •   laurenhaugan Soon you'll be at the point where you'll be able to not pump during the night. It seemed like it took me forever to get there. I think it was around 8 months that I finally had a freezer full of milk! I only pumped around 30-35 oz a day for most of the year too, but that's exactly what he ate. It's sometimes stressful, but also interesting when you realize you're producing the exact amount they need! It's such a perfect cycle. Anyways, just wanted to encourage you and hope your pump lets you get some good sleep soon 17h
  •   laurenhaugan Also, have you tried holding/smelling his clothing and/or looking at pictures & videos of baby while pumping? It's been researched quite a bit and studies show a shift in hormones that actually stimulates milk production. It helped me a lot, especially when I was going through the D-MER issues for a few months there. At the very least you get some alone time to fawn over your handsome guy when you're not able to be around him. It's a good strategy for working moms! Just a thought. 17h
  •   jaxm8705 It's funny that your hashtag about the pump life has other pictures tagged with it, and they're all pumpkins. <3 16h
  •   jmruiz127 @laurenhaugan Thanks love! He's out-eating me already, he gets 60 ml every feed :-( and the doc just changed orders to just give him as much as he'll take (a way to up his percentage of taking feeds by bottle to get him home sooner! And it's more like how he'll eat at home apparently). I've tried pictures and videos, not the smelling, I'll definitely try! I pump every time I'm with him at the hospital and that doesn't make too much of a difference though.. My hope is that once he's home some magic will happen! Lol 14h
  •   laurenhaugan @jmruiz127 Lol! You never know! It's such a delicate balance. And it's so much harder on us mamas who mostly pump too. Hopefully he'll continue to nurse which will also stimulate your production. Either way you've made it so far already and done incredible things for his development. Be proud of every single pump session and have no shame in giving him formula if he needs extra. That just means he's a healthy, growing little piggy!! 11h
  •   t_watz @jmruiz127 ya it did but it's coming down as heavy as I'd like it to. Slowly tho. Hope all is going well!! 3h
