cynastix One of my favorite oblique exercises... keep your arms straight and head in center position at all times. Get into hollow body and and simply contract as hard as you can with your obliques to one side and hold and control to the other side and hold. Sets of :30 or so is what I shoot for. cynastix Decline leg raises. Don't Iet your lower back, butt or hips touch the pad and... don't just yank yourself back up. This is an excellent strength builder for your core. I don't bang out reps on these, I really focus on the eccentric and never breaking tension to the core and also lifting with the core as opposed to throwing my legs up. Try to keep a hollow position and lower your body with control until it's basically parallel then lift with your core and repeat. cynastix Here's the variation for those that asked. Imo this is a more relative progression to the L-sit. Hollow body, lift with the core and not your back. cynastix These are painfully awesome on your abs and will help your hip flexors become more flexible. If you're used doing l-sits and you can't get your heels of the ground... chances are you aren't performing an l-sit. This is the straddle variation, you can also do these with your feet together. The better you get, the further your hands can come forward. Keep a hollow body position. cynastix Another fun accessory exercise. I try to squeeze as hard as i can hard while trying to keep my feet together and my body aligned as much as possible. cynastix Active rest day. Supported planche push ups. I'm using the band to make sure that I really lockout by pushing forward as hard as possible and holding it for a second. Everything has to stay tight or you'll pretty much faceplant. Every rep is controlled and strict until I can no longer perform a solid rep.
