powerful.passionate.proud Results are in from my 3 day refresh. Is there physically a huge difference? Nope! Is there a huge mental and emotional change? YUP!
Here is EXACTLY why I say ditch that stupid scale. In three days I lost 10 lbs (it was not easy). But you literally CANT SEE THE DIFFERENCE! And thats 100% fine by me.
You can bet your ass though that I feel so much better. I feel refreshed and excited and energized to dominate. I'm freaking proud of myself for sticking through it (with laryngitis I might add). I am in the right mind frame to conquer these next 21 days!
This lifestyle is about treating your body right. Ignore the scale, and listen to your body. It's about reminding yourself that you are capable of ANYTHING. And it's about feeling proud of yourself every damn step of the way.

2 small baked sweet potatoes • baked kale with coconut oil • avocado • brown rice • nori wrap with some edamame and ginger on the side 🍽 I could actually eat this every day

kateruns504 I made a green tropical smoothie with coconut today. I found out, not so surprisingly that trail mix is a food without breaks. I have had a rough week at work so I guess I took it out on a bag of trail mix. Gluten reintro tomorrow. Also a clean slate tomorrow. My reintro hasn't been perfect but I've felt no ill effects so far.

Hey again everyone— Monica here from @themovementmenu ! These are a few of my favorite things (sang just like My Favorite Things in The Sound of Music)… ! Let’s face it: completing a #whole30 with confidence and pizzaz is never easy. Luckily, there are a few #whole30compliant bottles that come to my rescue every time. Why these 3 things? Well, they’re extremely versatile, and I feel like not TOO many people know about all of them. I figured it would be a great time to fill-you-in on what they all are, why I love them so much, and what types of dishes I use them in!

Red Boat fish sauce: This brand is the best, and is @whole30approved. You cannot beat the quality, and it just so happens to be available at Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, most Asian markets, etc. I love adding a few drops of fish sauce to soups and stews, in particular. I also love making light dressing out of it, including some raw garlic, fresh lime juice, oil, etc

Coconut aminos: Holy mother effer. If you haven’t at least heard of coconut aminos by now, where on earth have you been hiding out? Coconut aminos is a sauce made from coconut sap. Sounds weird, doesn’t it? It’s actually fan-flipping-tastic! It resembles a light soy sauce or tamarin (wheat free soy sauce). In my opinion, it’s a bit sweeter and tastes a heck of a lot better. I use it whenever I make salmon or tuna poke at home, in stir fries and when sautéing vegetables, mixed in with cauliflower rice, on top of eggs, etc. It’s extremely versatile

Avocado oil: I have dubbed avocado oil as the best new oil to hit the fan waves. It has replaced coconut oil and olive oil in 95% of my cooking adventures. It has an extremely high smoke point, in comparison (520 degrees Fahrenheit, which is over 50 degrees higher than olive oil and almost 200 degrees higher than coconut oil), so it’s a no brainer. It’s the best base for salad dressings, in homemade mayonnaise and when roasting your favorite veggies. The taste is also very light.
