  •   jessthefeminist A child and an embryo are not the same. Babies cannot survive outside the womb at 20 weeks. The point of viability is actually at 24 weeks and even then an infant born at 24 weeks gestation is very lucky if it survives. Also 90% of abortions occur in the first trimester (weeks 1-12). I don't support late term abortion. A fetus does not feel pain until 20 weeks. You think it is easier to go through nine months of pregnancy and countless hours of child birth and raise a child or give it up for adoption than it is to get an abortion. You are hugely mistake. Abortion is not an easy decision to make, but it is far easier and logical to terminate a pregnancy in the early stages than it is to go through nine months of pregnancy, suffer the sometimes gruelling side effects of pregnancy, and the restricts pregnancy puts on a woman, not to mention countless hours of childbirth, which is 13 times more dangerous than an abortion, to bring a child into the world and find a home for it. I'm sorry but it's a lot easier to have an abortion than do all that. Pregnancy is not this simple thing you have to get through. For some women it causes severe health issues. My best friend is pregnant right now and she has been on sick leave since she was 18 weeks because the hormones of pregnancy have softened the ligaments and cartilage surrounding her joints so that they are bone on bone, she can barely walk, she was in physio 2-3 times a week but there is nothing they can do, it will only get worse as the baby and her uterus gets bigger. She will probably be on bed rest by her third trimester. She can't work. Now luckily her boyfriend works and is able to support her, but imagine if she didn't have that boyfriend and she didn't have health insurance, how do you think she would support herself? Pregnancy is a lot harder than you think. It can cause many problems for a woman, some even life threatening. @conner_chaisson0 4d
  •   conner_chaisson0 Like I said before you can't justify murder by any means. A child is alive from the moment of conception. Your right pregnancy is not easy and I'm sorry for your friend but that doesn't change the fact that if you are not financially stable you shouldn't have kids. And if you accidentally do then it was your own fault you had sex it was your choice not that poor child that would other wise have to suffer for your mistakes. @jessthefeminist 4d
  •   conner_chaisson0 And no a child and an embryo are not the same just as much as an adult and a teenager are not the same but they are still living human beings. @jessthefeminist 4d
  •   jessthefeminist It's a woman's choice to have an abortion, always has been always will be. And it's gunna continue to happen whether you like it or not @conner_chaisson0 4d
  •   conner_chaisson0 Not if I have anything to say about it @jessthefeminist 4d
  •   jessthefeminist You are never going to totally abolish abortion lol keep dreaming. It's a necessary medical procedure. Even the world health organization has recommended that safe and legal abortion be available to women worldwide. It's always gunna be legal in Canada that's for sure, it's not even a topic of interest here anymore, it's covered by health insurance. No one cares if you have an abortion here, and if they do there's nothing they can do about it because the government has no interest in it, they made their decision about abortion long again and that's not gunna change. It's completely legal in many other countries too. So even if it does become illegal in the states women will just go elsewhere or they will get access to the abortion pill. Keep dreaming lol abortion will never be illegal. @conner_chaisson0 4d
  •   conner_chaisson0 You keep telling yourself that whatever helps you sleep at night 🏻🏻 @jessthefeminist 4d
  •   jessthefeminist Lol if you think you're going to abolish abortion you are dead wrong my friend. It's never going to happen. At least not where I live anyway @conner_chaisson0 4d
