annethenurse Happy Flex Friday! 🏼 Beginning of October to almost end of May is about 6 months progress. There is approximately 25 pounds difference in these photos. An average of about 4 pounds lost per month. An average of 1 pound per week. So the next time you beat yourself up for "only losing s pound" stop! Also, this is the averages. My weight didn't ALWAYS go down. Sometimes it went UP ️. I gained and lost along the way. I hit plateaus. I'm still fluctuating. 🔀🔀 I don't like to focus on weight, but here are some tips. Always weigh yourself in the morning before you've eaten or had anything to drink. After you've peed. That's the most accurate. Don't weigh yourself during that time of the month. If your number goes up do not panic! I weigh myself consistently to keep myself focused but when it goes up I try to figure out why. Was it bad eating? Was it alcohol? Was it lack of exercise? What did I do wrong? If I can identify the problem I try to work on that area. Cut out alcohol for a few weeks or start eating better or working out more. But sometimes my weight goes up when I am doing everything right. In that case I attribute it to muscle mass. Especially if my clothes still fit correctly or are getting big on me. I had a long-running plateau where I didn't lose any pounds but lost a lot of inches and clothing sizes continued to drop. I recommend going more based on inches and how your clothing fits as well as photos. After all, it's not really about weight loss but fat loss. I'm trying to displace my fat with muscle tone. Lean muscle mass helps reduce the flabbiness and increases your metabolism. You will burn more calories, even while at rest! This is why I feed my body. I am not aiming to be "skinny". I want to have a body that looks good but also functions and I want to continue to enjoy food in a healthy way. I'm not going for stick figure who picks at a salad. That's not the life for me! I need some damn steak in my life. I really feel that we're all in this struggle together. Thanks for all of your support and encouragement. I hope that was helpful information. 26min
  •   jolie_churchill I really need this today I have been eating very well. CLEAN eating and staying within 1500 calories not much exercise mom of 2 over here but I gained weight!!!! I can't get off this number!!! Feeling so frustrated but I keep reminding myself this is not about getting skinny but getting healthy and lifestyle change and even if the weight never comes off ( which I really hope it does) I am still healthier. Raise yourself up to a starting position by straightening your arms but don't lock your elbows.
Then lean forward slightly and lower yourself down by bending your elbows into a 90 degrees angle before #pushing yourself up again as shown on video.
If you don't have the #strength to push your entire bodyweight up, you can always place one leg on the ground in front of you for #support like you're squatting with one leg and lift the other leg up behind you.
