disheroapp We are extremely excited for this opening next week. Highly anticipated for the past few years, Mourad, spin-off restaurant from chef Mourad Lahlou at Aziza in San Francisco will finally be dropping on January 26. The restaurant will be serving "upscale Moroccan", similar to Aziza but with new menu items that have a touch more intricacy and technique.
The chef de cuisine, Chris Kajioka is a beloved native of Hawaii who has worked with Mourad Lahlou for years at Aziza.
The menu will include a tasting menu, a la carte items, as well as a large format section where guests will be able to order large platters of food to be shared by multiple people that reflect the family style way of eating in Morocco.
Another cool aspect of the restaurant, the kitchen will be visible from the outside through a set of large, wide windows that run the entire length of the brand new kitchen along the side of the building. The kitchen will also be viewable via a private dining room on the second level with more glass windows where diners can look down and see all the action during service.
So hold on to your hats folks because it's finally about to happen!
