k_allyngetsfit On today's edition of #thenandnow this pic from 2008 has served as my guide. I was at my smallest weight like ever! Even smaller than I was in 10th grade( I had lost a lot of weight during that summer). But i did not lose weight the right way, and I only stayed this size for a year. The other pic was just taken a few minutes ago. happyandhealthytogo Just a small reminder to not forget to smile! You should always feel happy with the way you are living and what you are doing. If it makes you unhappy, change something! Change your mindset, change your perspective, change something! Last year in October I stopped counting calories on myfitnesspal as I really got obsessive and even had physical consequences. I thougt all the time about food, while eating breakfast I was thinking about how many calories I had left for the next meal..and what I could eat for that, and how small all the portions I was going to have would be. I wasn't listening to my body no more, all I did was thinking in numbers and grams. So, after deciding to leave that behind me I started binging like crazy, as I couldn't longer bear the feeling of deprivation. This went on for about 3 months..and just now, one month ago, I found my balance again.
I again started losing weight, but most important, I started loving what I do again! I eat when I feel like it, just make sure it's all natural, and listen to myself, I do not workout, when I feel really weak..and I workout twice, when I feel energized. And I also eat suagry, fatty cake when I really want it, because sometimes it's just better than healthy selfmade ones!
Losing weight taught me a lot of things about myself..and that's why it just didn't work out right away..if you are not happy with yourself and don't feel balanced, there will be setbacks. But they are important for you as they show you that you need to change something!
And if I have learned something, then loving myself, learning out of everything rather than just feeling like a victim and being open and thankful are some of the most important things in life!
Sorry for the long text folks, but some things have to be said!
